Description
Heat-sealable film for CPET trays is PET-based lidding rollstock developed for ready-meal, airline-catering, bakery, frozen-food, and heat-and-serve packaging. The film must seal reliably to the actual CPET tray flange while providing the required peel, clarity, puncture, anti-fog, printing, freezer, microwave, or conventional-oven performance.
The current product is listed at 0.05–0.10mm thickness, with 150mm, 230mm, 280mm, and custom roll widths. The standard product information also lists easy-peel, optional anti-fog, custom printing, and a portfolio reference range of approximately –40°C to +220°C.
That temperature range should only be applied to the exact thermal grade that has been validated with the selected CPET tray, food, seal conditions, heating time, maximum temperature, venting method, inks, adhesive, and consumer instructions. The current page describes the material as BOPET/PE while also claiming dual-ovenable performance up to 220°C. A generic PE sealant may not be suitable for that full conventional-oven exposure.
