Types of CPET Tray Lidding Film

Ovenable PET-Based Lidding Film

Ovenable PET-based film is developed to tolerate a specified conventional-oven or microwave-heating cycle when combined with a compatible CPET tray.

Can the Film Stay on the Tray During Cooking?

Whether the film can remain on the CPET tray during cooking depends entirely on the selected film grade and approved consumer instructions.

Common packaging instructions include:

  • Remove film completely before heating

  • Pierce the film several times before heating

  • Leave the film attached and allow an integrated vent to release steam
