Description
HSQY supplies clear and custom-printed BOPET/PE tray sealing film for ready-meal trays, food containers and portion packs. The laminated structure combines a strong, transparent BOPET outer layer with a heat-seal layer selected according to the tray flange, sealing equipment, storage conditions and final heating requirements.
Available options include easy-peel, lock-seal, anti-fog, printed, high-barrier and heat-resistant grades. Because CPET, PET, APET and PP trays can use different sealing surfaces, the exact film must be validated with the commercial tray, sealing temperature, dwell time, pressure and packaging line before mass production.
Quick answer: This product is a tray lidding film rather than a 175-micron rigid PET sheet. For accurate selection, provide the tray material and sealing layer, tray drawing, film width, roll length, core size, sealing-machine model, food type, storage temperature, heating process and required peel performance.

| Layer or Function | Primary Role | Buyer Check |
|---|---|---|
| BOPET Outer Layer | Provides clarity, tensile strength, dimensional stability, puncture resistance and a printable surface. | Confirm thickness, optical appearance, thermal exposure and printing requirements. |
| Lamination / Functional Layer | Combines layers and can support barrier, anti-fog or application-specific performance. | Specify shelf-life target, storage conditions and oxygen or moisture-barrier needs. |
| Heat-Seal Layer | Creates the bond to the tray flange and controls peel force, seal integrity and opening behavior. | Match the sealant to the exact tray surface rather than relying only on the tray's general material name. |
A tray's structural polymer and its sealing surface are not always identical. A PET tray with a PE sealing layer, for example, requires a different approach from an untreated mono-PET tray. Use the exact production tray for all sealing trials.
| Tray Type | Recommended Direction | Critical Validation |
|---|---|---|
| CPET Trays | Use a CPET-compatible, heat-resistant lidding-film grade for frozen, microwave or ovenable ready meals. | Maximum temperature, heating time, seal retention, peel after heating and complete-package safety. |
| PET/PE or APET/PE Trays | BOPET/PE easy-peel or lock-seal film is a common solution when the tray flange has a compatible PE sealing layer. | Peel force, leak resistance, anti-fog performance and chilled or frozen storage. |
| Mono-PET or APET Trays | Use a PET-sealable coating or a film specifically engineered for the tray's untreated or coated PET surface. | Do not assume a standard PE sealant will bond correctly; test the commercial flange. |
| PP Trays | Use a PP-compatible sealant, often a BOPET/CPP or multi-substrate lidding-film structure. | Seal window, hot-fill or microwave conditions, oil resistance and easy-peel consistency. |
Clear easy-peel film: Controlled opening with good product visibility.
Lock-seal film: Stronger seal integrity for distribution-intensive applications.
Anti-fog film: Helps maintain visibility for chilled meals, produce, meat and high-moisture foods.
Custom-printed film: Supports branding, ingredients, instructions, barcodes and registration marks.
High-barrier film: Designed for oxygen-sensitive foods, extended shelf life and selected MAP applications.
Heat-resistant film: Developed for validated microwave and ovenable CPET packaging systems.
Custom roll conversion: Width, length, core diameter, winding direction and roll diameter matched to the tray sealer.
Frozen, chilled and ambient ready meals
Airline meals, hospital meals and catering portions
Fresh meat, poultry, seafood and processed proteins
Fresh produce, salads and cut fruit
Dairy products, desserts, sauces and portion packs
Bakery products, snacks and prepared foods
There is no universal sealing temperature for every tray and film combination. Seal performance depends on the film structure, tray flange, sealing-head design, temperature, dwell time, pressure, line speed, food contamination at the flange and package conditioning.
During trials, record the minimum seal-initiation temperature, stable operating window, peel force, leakage, channel formation, film tearing, tray distortion, anti-fog behavior and performance after chilling, freezing, reheating or oven exposure. Approve a production-grade sample before placing a bulk order.
Custom film thickness, roll width, roll length, core size and winding direction.
Easy-peel, lock-seal, anti-fog, high-barrier and heat-resistant formulations.
Custom printing for logos, product information and retail branding.
Custom labels, cartons and export packaging.
Sample rolls and compatibility support for tray, mold and sealing-machine selection.
Available documentation should be confirmed for the selected film structure, production batch and destination market. Request the relevant technical data sheet, food-contact declaration, test report and certificate before commercial approval.

Sample packaging: Small rolls packed in protective boxes for testing.
Bulk roll packaging: Rolls wrapped with PE film or kraft paper according to width, diameter and transport requirements.
Pallet packaging: Approximately 500-2,000 kg per plywood pallet, depending on roll dimensions and loading plan.
Container loading: Approximately 20 tons per container, subject to roll size, pallet configuration and shipping limits.
Delivery terms: EXW, FOB, CNF and DDU.
Lead time: Normally 10-14 working days after the technical specification and deposit are confirmed.

It is a laminated food-packaging film with a BOPET outer layer for strength, clarity and printability and a heat-seal layer designed to bond to a compatible tray flange.
Not automatically. CPET, PET, APET and PP trays can require different sealant chemistries. Some multi-substrate grades are available, but each commercial tray must be tested under the intended production conditions.
Selected heat-resistant grades can be developed for ovenable CPET systems. The complete tray-and-film package must be validated at the maximum temperature and time, including seal retention and opening performance after heating.
The current product information lists 0.05-0.10 mm thickness and common widths of 150 mm, 230 mm and 280 mm. Custom thicknesses, widths and roll lengths can be produced after technical review.
Yes. Easy-peel, controlled-peel and anti-fog options are available. Peel force and anti-fog performance should be tested under the actual filling, chilling, storage and retail-display cycle.
Yes. HSQY can print logos, product information, barcodes and retail graphics. Provide the artwork, color count, repeat length, eye-mark position, winding direction and required print protection.
Run the film on the intended tray sealer with the production tray and food application. Test the operating seal window, peel force, leakage, film tearing, tray distortion, fogging and performance after storage, freezing or reheating.
The published MOQ is 500 kg. Typical lead time is approximately 10-14 working days after the specification and deposit are confirmed. Printed, high-barrier and specialty grades may require different quantities or schedules.
