Product Description
HSQY GAG PET Film Sheet for High-Frequency Welding is a three-layer co-extruded polyester sheet with a PETG/APET/PETG (A/B/A) structure. It is designed for packaging and plastic fabrication applications requiring high-frequency (HF) welding, radio-frequency (RF) sealing, thermoforming, die cutting and bonding.
The two PETG outer layers offer useful welding and fabrication characteristics, while the APET core provides rigidity and dimensional support. This multilayer construction can provide a practical alternative to solid PETG sheet where suitable high-frequency sealing performance and material-cost control are required.
HSQY Plastic supplies GAG PET sheets and rolls with thicknesses from 0.15 mm to 3 mm, roll widths from 110 mm to 1280 mm, and cut-sheet sizes including 915 × 1220 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm. Transparent and customized color options are available according to production requirements.
GAG sheets can be considered for high-frequency welded transparent boxes, packaging components, stationery products, protective covers, decorative items and selected formed products. Actual weldability depends on material grade, PETG layer thickness, equipment settings, electrode design and welding conditions. Production trials are recommended before bulk manufacturing.

GAG PET sheet is a multilayer polyester material produced by combining PETG and APET through co-extrusion. The structure consists of PETG on both outer surfaces and APET in the middle. This configuration is also known as G-PET-G or PETG/APET/PETG film.
PETG is a glycol-modified polyester known for its toughness and converting characteristics. APET is amorphous polyethylene terephthalate, a rigid polyester commonly used for transparent packaging. Combining these materials allows GAG sheet to retain PETG surface characteristics while using APET in the central layer for structural support.
For high-frequency welding applications, the PETG outer surfaces can support the joining process when the material formulation and equipment conditions are suitable. The strength, appearance and consistency of the finished seam must be assessed through application-specific testing.
High-frequency welding, also called RF welding or dielectric welding, is a joining process that uses a high-frequency electromagnetic field to generate heat in suitable polar thermoplastic materials. Under controlled pressure and heating conditions, the contacting surfaces can soften and form a bond.
GAG sheet is of interest for this process because its PETG outer layers can provide favorable joining characteristics compared with certain conventional PET sheet structures. The APET core contributes rigidity while the external layers are positioned at the bonding surfaces.
The process must be adjusted for the selected GAG grade, sheet thickness, PETG layer ratio, electrode geometry and welding machine. Some applications may require heated tooling or alternative joining arrangements. Reliable weldability should be verified using the actual materials and equipment.
Position the GAG sheet so the intended bonding surfaces make consistent contact. Surface cleanliness, alignment and appropriate pressure help reduce welding defects and uneven seams.
The welding machine applies high-frequency energy through its tooling while maintaining pressure on the joining area. The required power, cycle time and pressure depend on the material and equipment configuration.
After the welding cycle, allow the joint to stabilize under suitable conditions. Inspect the finished seam for adhesion, dimensional accuracy, visual appearance, distortion and consistency.
Before starting volume production, confirm the required seam strength, peel performance, appearance and durability using representative samples and agreed test methods.
GAG sheet uses a symmetrical A/B/A construction. Each layer contributes to the overall forming, welding, fabrication and mechanical performance of the finished material.
| Layer | Material | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Top Layer A | PETG | Welding-surface characteristics, toughness and converting performance |
| Core Layer B | APET | Rigidity, dimensional support and material-cost optimization |
| Bottom Layer A | PETG | Comparable surface characteristics for joining and fabrication |
The ratio between PETG and APET can affect welding response, sheet stiffness, thermoforming behavior and material cost. Customers requiring a specific weld strength or joining process should include the intended application and performance criteria in their inquiry.

GAG PET sheet is a three-layer PETG/APET/PETG material with PETG outer layers and an APET core. Suitable grades can be evaluated for high-frequency welding and other packaging fabrication operations.
GAG sheets with suitable PETG surface layers can be considered for RF welding. Weldability must be confirmed for the specific material formulation, total thickness, electrode design, welding settings and joined materials.
RF welding uses a high-frequency electromagnetic field to generate heat within suitable materials, while conventional thermal heat sealing typically applies heat through heated tools or sealing surfaces. Different processes require different material and equipment conditions.
PETG provides useful surface toughness, forming and bonding characteristics. In GAG construction, PETG is positioned on both sides of the APET core to support selected joining and fabrication applications.
GAG combines PETG outer layers with an APET core. Standard APET may be more difficult to RF weld under certain conditions, while suitable PETG grades can have favorable joining characteristics. Material selection should be verified by welding trials.
HSQY lists GAG sheet thicknesses from 0.15 mm to 3 mm. However, the suitability of a specific gauge for high-frequency welding depends on the welding process and available equipment.
Listed roll widths are 110–1280 mm. Standard cut-sheet sizes include 915 × 1220 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm. Custom dimensions can be discussed.
Compatibility with PVC, PETG, GAG or another substrate cannot be assumed. Different polymers may respond differently to RF welding. Joint strength and suitability must be confirmed using actual materials and process trials.
Yes. Suitable GAG sheet grades can be thermoformed or vacuum formed into trays, blisters and other packaging products. Forming settings depend on thickness, grade, mold design and processing conditions.
Selected GAG grades can be evaluated for printing, folding, die cutting and adhesive bonding. Buyers should test ink adhesion, crease quality and adhesive compatibility before commercial production.
