Product Description
HSQY Clear Hard GAG PET Sheet is a transparent, three-layer co-extruded polyester sheet with a PETG/APET/PETG (A/B/A) structure, designed for vacuum forming, thermoforming, blister packaging, rigid plastic trays and transparent packaging components. It combines PETG surface toughness with an APET core to provide a balance of clarity, rigidity and converting performance.
HSQY supplies GAG plastic sheets and rolls in thicknesses from 0.15 mm to 3 mm, roll widths from 110 mm to 1280 mm, and standard cut-sheet sizes including 915 × 1220 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm. Custom dimensions, clear or colored grades and roll configurations can be discussed according to production requirements.
The PETG outer layers offer useful surface toughness and forming characteristics, while the APET core contributes stiffness and dimensional support. This multilayer structure can be a practical choice for packaging converters seeking the processing characteristics of PETG surfaces without using solid PETG throughout the entire sheet.
For vacuum forming manufacturers, blister packaging companies, plastic tray producers and distributors, HSQY can discuss sheet thickness, roll width, material grade, layer structure and custom specifications to match the intended mold and finished product.

GAG PET sheet is a multilayer rigid polyester sheet made from PETG outer layers and an APET middle layer. It is also known as PETG/APET/PETG sheet or G-PET-G film. The material can be heated and formed into three-dimensional packaging components with suitable vacuum forming or thermoforming equipment.
During vacuum forming, the sheet is heated to a suitable forming condition and drawn against a mold through vacuum pressure. After cooling, the formed part can be trimmed, cut and prepared for further assembly or packaging operations.
The quality of the formed product depends on sheet thickness, PETG/APET layer ratio, material moisture condition, heating profile, mold geometry, vacuum distribution and cooling conditions. Samples should be tested with the intended equipment before bulk production.
GAG sheet uses an A/B/A construction in which the two PETG surface layers surround an APET core. This structure is designed to combine useful surface characteristics and rigidity for forming and fabrication applications.
| Layer | Material | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Outer Layer A | PETG | Surface toughness, forming and fabrication characteristics |
| Core Layer B | APET | Rigidity, dimensional support and material-cost control |
| Outer Layer A | PETG | Similar surface properties on the opposite side |
The PETG surface-layer thickness and APET core ratio can affect thermoforming behavior, rigidity, toughness, folding and bonding performance. Customers requiring deep draws or demanding formed shapes should discuss the construction and performance requirements before ordering.

Clear GAG sheet offers an attractive transparent appearance for formed trays, blister packs and retail packaging. Actual optical clarity and surface quality depend on material formulation, thickness and manufacturing conditions.
Suitable GAG grades can be heated and formed into a range of plastic packaging shapes. The PETG outer layers contribute useful forming characteristics, while the APET core helps maintain rigidity. Proper equipment settings and mold design remain essential.
The multilayer PETG/APET/PETG construction provides a useful combination of toughness and stiffness. Finished-part strength depends on sheet gauge, forming depth, layer structure and product geometry.
GAG sheets can be considered for vacuum forming, thermoforming, die cutting, folding, drilling and selected bonding operations. Compatibility should be tested for the intended equipment, adhesives and finished packaging requirements.
Using PETG surfaces with an APET core can reduce the proportion of PETG resin compared with a full PETG sheet. This may help balance material cost and processing performance for suitable applications.
HSQY offers different GAG sheet thicknesses, roll widths, cut-sheet sizes and color options. Customers can discuss custom specifications based on their vacuum forming machines and packaging designs.
Blister Packaging: GAG sheet can be vacuum formed into transparent blister cavities for hardware, toys, cosmetics, consumer accessories and retail products.
Vacuum-Formed Trays: Suitable GAG grades can be formed into trays and protective inserts for packaging, transport and product display.
Clamshell Packaging: GAG can be used for selected transparent clamshell and hinged-container designs when the material meets the required forming and mechanical performance.
Folding Boxes: The PETG outer layers provide useful converting characteristics for selected transparent folding cartons and packaging components.
Electronic Packaging: GAG can be used for formed protective trays and inserts. Applications involving electrostatic-sensitive components require separately qualified anti-static or ESD properties.
Food Packaging: Suitable GAG grades may be used for transparent food packaging trays and containers where the material construction and documentation meet the applicable requirements for the intended use.
Decorative Components: Clear or colored GAG sheet can also be considered for selected decorative panels, display products and fabricated plastic components.

Vacuum Forming
Inspect the GAG sheet for cleanliness, thickness consistency, surface condition and moisture exposure. Drying requirements depend on the selected grade, storage conditions and forming process.
Heat the sheet uniformly to an appropriate forming condition. The temperature profile should be selected according to the total sheet thickness, PETG surface layers and APET core structure.
Apply vacuum to draw the heated GAG sheet against the mold. Proper mold venting and vacuum distribution are important for cavity definition and consistent material distribution.
Allow the formed product to cool sufficiently before release from the mold. Cooling conditions should support dimensional stability and reduce unwanted distortion.
Trim the formed part and inspect appearance, wall-thickness distribution, dimensional accuracy and mechanical performance before approving volume production.
Sheet Thickness: Select the appropriate gauge according to the cavity depth, part dimensions, required rigidity and mechanical loading.
Forming Depth: Provide the target cavity depth, draw ratio and mold geometry to help evaluate suitable sheet thickness and material construction.
Sheet Width: Specify roll width or cut-sheet size according to the vacuum forming machine and mold layout.
Layer Ratio: Discuss the PETG outer-layer thickness and APET core ratio when the product requires particular forming or mechanical characteristics.
Optical Appearance: Confirm transparency, gloss, color and acceptable surface defects for visible packaging.
Additional Converting: Specify printing, folding, bonding, die cutting or welding operations planned after vacuum forming.
Food-Contact Requirements: For food packaging, provide the intended food type, contact conditions and destination market to confirm suitable materials and documents.
Order Details: Include the estimated quantity, preferred packing method and shipping destination.
