Product Description
HSQY High Gloss GAG PET Film Sheet is a rigid, three-layer co-extruded polyester sheet with a PETG/APET/PETG (A/B/A) structure. It features a glossy surface appearance and is suitable for selected transparent packaging, retail display boxes, blister packs, decorative components and thermoformed products.
The PETG outer layers contribute surface characteristics, toughness and converting performance, while the APET core provides rigidity and dimensional support. The multilayer construction helps combine attractive presentation with practical processing requirements for packaging manufacturers and plastic converters.
HSQY supplies GAG film and sheet in thicknesses from 0.15 mm to 3 mm, roll widths from 110 mm to 1280 mm, and cut-sheet sizes including 915 × 1220 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm. Clear and customized colored grades are available for discussion.
For high-gloss packaging projects, surface gloss, gloss uniformity, optical appearance and resistance to handling damage are important evaluation factors. Buyers can specify their preferred finish, sheet thickness, inspection method and other application requirements when requesting samples or quotations.

High gloss GAG PET film is a multilayer polyester material consisting of PETG outer surfaces and an APET middle layer. It is also known as GAG plastic sheet, PETG/APET/PETG film or G-PET-G sheet.
The glossy surface gives the sheet a reflective, polished appearance that can improve the visual presentation of retail packaging, transparent boxes and decorative plastic components. The degree of gloss depends on the material formulation, extrusion surface finish, thickness and production conditions.
Unlike a coating-based decorative finish, the surface appearance of a standard glossy GAG sheet can be influenced directly by the co-extruded material and finishing conditions. If a project requires a special coating, anti-scratch treatment or a defined gloss level, those requirements should be specified separately.
GAG sheet has an A/B/A construction that uses PETG surface layers and an APET core. Each layer contributes to the overall processing and mechanical characteristics of the finished material.
| Layer | Material | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Outer Layer A | PETG | Surface appearance, toughness and converting characteristics |
| Core Layer B | APET | Rigidity, structural support and material-cost management |
| Outer Layer A | PETG | Surface performance on the opposite side |
The PETG-to-APET layer ratio should be confirmed according to the required finish, stiffness, forming conditions and fabrication methods. Final gloss performance must be assessed on the selected production grade.

Gloss describes how strongly a surface reflects light in a particular direction. A glossy sheet has a more reflective appearance than a matte sheet. Where numerical gloss requirements apply, buyers should specify the agreed test method, measurement geometry and acceptance limits.
Consistent gloss across the sheet helps produce a uniform appearance in folding boxes, decorative parts and display packaging. Buyers can specify permitted appearance variations across the roll width or cut-sheet surface.
Surface gloss is different from light transmittance and haze. A sheet can be glossy without meeting a particular transparency requirement. Buyers should confirm these properties separately when packaging visibility is critical.
Scratches, streaks, contamination, gels and other visible defects can be especially noticeable on reflective plastic surfaces. Suitable handling, visual inspection and protective packing can help maintain appearance during processing and transport.
Clean equipment, proper roll handling and suitable protective packing can reduce unwanted marks. If a project requires a protective film or a special abrasion-resistance level, these should be specified and confirmed separately.
A glossy surface offers a polished visual finish for transparent and decorative packaging products where appearance is important.
PETG surface layers and the APET core provide a useful combination of toughness and rigidity. Actual mechanical performance depends on thickness, grade and layer construction.
Suitable GAG grades can be evaluated for thermoforming, folding, cutting and selected printing or bonding processes. Compatibility must be verified using the intended equipment and materials.
PETG outer layers combined with an APET core use less PETG resin than an equivalent solid PETG sheet. The resulting material cost depends on the selected layer ratio and purchasing conditions.
HSQY offers various sheet thicknesses, roll widths, standard cut-sheet sizes and customized colors for packaging converters and other industrial buyers.
Premium Retail Packaging: High gloss GAG sheet can be used for selected clear retail boxes, presentation packaging and decorative packaging components requiring a reflective finish.
Clear Folding Boxes: Suitable grades can be cut, creased and folded into transparent boxes. Folding quality, crack resistance and joining compatibility should be confirmed before production.

It is a three-layer PETG/APET/PETG polyester sheet with a glossy surface appearance, used for selected packaging, display, decorative and thermoforming applications.
Both can have the same PETG/APET/PETG structure. High gloss GAG is selected for a more reflective surface appearance, while standard GAG finishes vary by material grade and production conditions.
No. Gloss describes directional surface reflection, while transparency relates to transmitted light. Haze measures light scattering. These properties should be evaluated separately.
Gloss can be evaluated using a gloss meter and an agreed measurement method. The measurement angle and acceptance limits should be specified according to the application and relevant testing procedure.
GAG film has PETG outer layers with an APET core. This symmetrical three-layer construction is commonly written as PETG/APET/PETG or A/B/A.
HSQY lists GAG film and sheet thicknesses from 0.15 mm to 3 mm. Final grade availability and thickness tolerances should be confirmed when ordering.
Roll widths range from 110 mm to 1280 mm. Listed cut-sheet sizes include 915 × 1220 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm, with customized dimensions available for discussion.
Suitable grades can be evaluated for thermoforming or vacuum forming. Heating, moisture preparation, mold geometry and cooling conditions should be confirmed, and the final surface appearance should be inspected after forming.
Selected grades may be suitable for these operations. Printing and bonding compatibility depend on surface condition, ink or adhesive system and processing settings. Trials are recommended before bulk production.
A glossy finish does not automatically provide a specific scratch-resistance rating. If abrasion or scratch resistance is critical, buyers should define a test method and ask whether an appropriate grade or surface treatment is available.
Selected formulations may be suitable for food packaging when the material and supporting documentation meet the requirements of the destination market and intended contact conditions.
GAG consists of PET-family polymers. Actual recycling acceptance depends on the finished product, additives, labels, adhesives and locally available recycling systems.
The listed MOQ is 1000 kg, subject to confirmation for the selected thickness, color and custom production requirements.
