HSQY manufactures transparent PET/PE laminated film for thermoformed food trays, form-fill-seal packaging, meat trays, fish trays, poultry packs, cheese packaging, deli products and other chilled food applications.
The material is a semi-rigid thermoformable bottom web consisting of an APET structural layer combined with a PE sealing layer. The PET layer provides transparency, rigidity and forming support, while the PE layer provides heat-sealing functionality and moisture resistance.
The featured product is available in total thicknesses from approximately 0.23mm to 0.58mm. A reference construction uses an approximately 50µm PE sealing layer, while the PET thickness, PE thickness and total laminate structure can be customized according to the tray design and packaging line.

PET/PE laminated film is a multilayer packaging material that combines a rigid or semi-rigid polyethylene terephthalate layer with a polyethylene sealing layer.
APET provides the primary structure, stiffness, transparency and thermoforming support. PE provides a sealable food-contact surface, moisture resistance and additional toughness.
During thermoforming, the heated laminate is drawn into cavities to create trays or bottom packs. Food is then loaded into the formed cavities and a compatible top film is sealed to the tray flange.
The material may also be described as APET/PE bottom web, rigid PET/PE film, PET/PE thermoforming roll, clear tray-forming film or PET/PE form-fill-seal film.

Peel or weld performance is created by the complete package system. The bottom web, lidding film, sealant layers, tray flange, product contamination, temperature, pressure and dwell time must be validated together.
The PET/PE laminate should heat evenly across the web to reduce local overstretching, wrinkles and incomplete forming.
