Product Description
HSQY rigid PVC sheet is designed for vacuum forming and thermoforming applications such as blister packaging, clamshells, trays, product inserts, covers and other formed plastic components. The material combines rigidity, dimensional stability and practical forming performance for packaging converters, thermoforming companies and industrial plastic processors.
This product is currently available in approximately 0.1mm to 3mm thickness, with clear, white and customized color options. Standard references include A4, 500 × 765mm and 700 × 1000mm, while other sheet dimensions and widths can be discussed according to the thermoforming machine, mold size and finished-part requirements.
PVC sheet can be supplied for transparent product presentation or selected opaque applications. Surface, thickness, color, material formulation, recycled-content requirement and processing format should be confirmed according to the final application rather than assumed to be identical for every rigid PVC grade.

PVC vacuum forming sheet is a rigid thermoplastic material that is heated until it becomes formable and then drawn against a mold using vacuum. After the material cools, it retains the shape of the mold and can be trimmed into the finished packaging or plastic component.
The process is widely used for shallow and medium-depth packaging parts, trays, covers, display shells, blister components and other formed products. Clear PVC is useful where visibility through the finished component is important, while opaque and colored materials can be selected for other applications.
Thermoforming is the broader process of heating a thermoplastic sheet and forming it into a three-dimensional shape. Vacuum forming is a common thermoforming method that uses vacuum pressure to pull the heated PVC sheet against the mold surface.
The appropriate process depends on part geometry, cavity depth, wall-thickness requirements, tooling, machine configuration and production volume. Buyers should provide finished-part information when requesting material rather than selecting PVC only by nominal thickness.
Thermoformable: Suitable grades can be heated and formed into three-dimensional components using vacuum or compatible thermoforming processes.
Clear Product Visibility: Transparent grades allow packaged products or protected components to remain visible.
Rigid Finished Parts: PVC provides structural stiffness after forming and cooling.
Custom Thickness: Thickness can be selected according to forming depth, draw ratio and finished-part rigidity.
Custom Dimensions: Sheet size can be matched to mold dimensions, clamping area and trim requirements.
Surface Options: Glossy and matte surfaces are available according to the selected material grade.
Color Options: Transparent, white, opaque and customized colors can be discussed.
Secondary Processing: Suitable grades can also be cut, die cut, folded or printed after process compatibility is confirmed.
Performance functions such as anti-static properties, UV stabilization, flame behavior or application-specific compliance depend on the selected formulation and should be confirmed separately.
Clear rigid PVC can be vacuum formed into transparent blister shells for suitable hardware, stationery, household, cosmetic and consumer-product packaging. Thickness should be matched to cavity depth, package size and required rigidity.
PVC can be formed into hinged clamshells where visibility, shape retention and a rigid formed structure are required. Hinge design and forming depth should be evaluated together with sheet thickness.
Rigid PVC can be formed into product trays, positioning inserts, internal packaging components and other shaped parts for suitable applications.
Clear and opaque PVC can be evaluated for formed display shells, protective covers and other industrial components where the required geometry is compatible with vacuum forming.
Application-specific PVC grades can be evaluated for selected food-packaging components. Food-contact suitability must be confirmed for the exact formulation, packaged food, contact temperature, contact duration and destination-market requirements.

Rigid PVC Packaging Application
The original sheet thickness is only one factor in the finished component. During forming, PVC stretches over the mold and the material can become thinner in deep cavities, corners and high-draw areas.
| Selection Factor | Information to Provide |
| Finished Part Size | Overall length, width and height |
| Maximum Draw Depth | Deepest section of the cavity or formed component |
| Mold Geometry | Corners, draft angle, cavity shape and draw ratio |
| Required Rigidity | Product weight, handling, stacking and protection requirements |
| Forming Equipment | Machine type, heating system and sheet or roll feeding method |
| Appearance | Clear, white, opaque or customized color; glossy or matte |
For new molds or new PVC specifications, trial forming is recommended before volume production to verify heating behavior, cavity definition, wall-thickness distribution, trimming, clarity and finished-part rigidity.
Virgin PVC and selected recycled-content formulations can be discussed according to the intended application. Material selection should consider clarity, color consistency, mechanical performance, forming behavior and any regulatory requirements.
Where optical appearance, regulated contact or tightly controlled performance is required, the appropriate formulation and supporting documentation should be agreed before ordering. Recycled-content grades should not automatically be treated as interchangeable with virgin PVC for every application.
General SGS testing, ISO management certificates or RoHS-related documentation do not by themselves establish that every rigid PVC grade is suitable for direct food contact.
For food, medical, pharmaceutical or other regulated applications, buyers should provide the intended product, contact conditions, temperature, duration and destination market so that the appropriate PVC formulation and available supporting documents can be evaluated.
