Product Description
HSQY manufactures 200 micron clear PVC window film for paper boxes, folding cartons, gift packaging, cosmetic boxes, toy boxes, bakery boxes, electronics packaging and other retail display applications.
A thickness of 200 microns is equal to 0.2mm. It provides a practical balance of transparency, flexibility, dimensional support and die-cutting performance for packaging windows that allow customers to view the product inside the box.
The featured product is available in standard and customized thicknesses from approximately 125 to 300 microns. Standard sheet sizes include 700 × 1000mm, 750 × 1050mm, 915 × 1830mm and 1220 × 2440mm.
HSQY can customize sheet size, thickness, transparency, color tint, gloss, matte level, anti-block performance, printing treatment, protective film, packing quantity and cut dimensions according to the buyer's window-patching, die-cutting and box-production equipment.
This product is a rigid or semi-rigid PVC packaging window material rather than soft PVC curtain or table-cover film. The final hardness and flexibility should be confirmed according to window size, carton structure, bending requirements and machine speed.

PVC clear window material is a transparent plastic sheet that is die cut and attached to the inside of a paperboard, kraft-paper or corrugated packaging box.
The transparent window allows consumers to see the packaged product without opening the box. This can improve product presentation, make colors and shapes visible and help buyers verify the contents at the point of sale.
A PVC window insert usually does not provide the complete structural strength or barrier performance of the package. Its performance also depends on the paperboard, adhesive, window overlap, carton design and closure method.
The material can be converted into rectangular, square, round, oval, curved, heart-shaped and other customized window profiles. It can also be creased or folded around one or more sides of a box when the selected PVC grade and structure are suitable.

A 200 micron PVC window provides greater stiffness and dimensional support than very thin packaging films while remaining flexible enough for die-cutting, gluing and selected folded-window designs.
The 0.2mm gauge helps the window remain relatively flat across medium-size openings while avoiding the weight and converting difficulty of a much thicker sheet.
Clear PVC provides product visibility for cosmetics, toys, baked goods, gifts, electronics and other retail products.
Suitable PVC grades can be die cut into simple or customized shapes using properly maintained tools and controlled cutting pressure.
The material can be attached to compatible paperboard using a suitable packaging adhesive after surface and bond-strength testing.
PVC itself has low water absorption and helps protect the viewing area from normal humidity and incidental contact with moisture.
Glossy, matte, frosted, tinted and printed options can be evaluated for different branding and packaging designs.
| Thickness | General Characteristics | Typical Applications |
|---|---|---|
| 125-150 Microns | Lightweight and flexible with lower material weight | Small windows, lightweight cartons and cost-sensitive packaging |
| 180 Microns | Moderate flexibility with improved handling stability | General paper-box windows and medium-size openings |
| 200 Microns | Balanced stiffness, clarity, handling and die-cutting performance | Cosmetics, toys, bakery boxes, gifts, electronics and retail packaging |
| 220-250 Microns | Increased rigidity for larger windows and folded structures | Larger cartons, corner windows, transparent sleeves and premium boxes |
| 280-300 Microns | Greater stiffness, weight and dimensional support | Large viewing panels, rigid inserts, sleeves and structural transparent components |
The correct thickness depends on the window area, unsupported span, box dimensions, required flatness, adhesive overlap, automatic machine speed, shipping conditions and target material cost.
A glossy clear surface provides high visual contrast and is commonly selected when maximum product visibility is required.
Matte and frosted surfaces reduce glare and create a diffused appearance for premium, decorative or partially concealed packaging.
Anti-block or lightly dusted surfaces can help sheets separate more easily during feeding, die cutting and automatic window patching.
A controlled blue tint can visually offset the naturally warm appearance of PVC. The tint should be approved using a physical production sample.
Corona treatment or primer coating can be supplied when compatible printing inks, coatings or adhesives require a controlled surface.
PVC sheets can be cut into window patches and attached to paperboard using automatic or semi-automatic window-patching equipment.
Sheet flatness, static level, surface blocking, cut dimensions and adhesive open time can affect machine feeding and production speed.
Standard paper glue may not bond reliably to every PVC surface. Buyers should use an adhesive designed for plastic-to-paper bonding and test initial tack, final bond strength, aging and temperature resistance.
The material can be die cut into simple or irregular shapes. Tool sharpness, cutting clearance, material temperature and pressure affect edge quality and dimensional accuracy.
Selected PVC grades can be creased and folded for corner windows, transparent sleeves and multi-panel window structures. Crease design should be tested to control stress whitening and cracking.
Logos, patterns, warning text and decorative graphics can be printed using compatible screen, UV or other specialized plastic-printing systems.
The printer model, ink chemistry, curing method, treatment side and post-print folding or gluing process should be tested before bulk production.
| Window Design | Description | Typical Packaging |
|---|---|---|
| Rectangular Window | Standard straight-sided viewing panel with efficient material use | Cosmetics, electronics, toys, gifts and apparel |
| Rounded-Corner Window | Curved corners can reduce sharp internal corners in the paperboard design | Bakery, cosmetics, confectionery and premium retail boxes |
| Round or Oval Window | Decorative viewing area for centered products | Candles, gifts, confectionery and cosmetics |
| Custom-Shaped Window | Window follows a logo, product outline or themed design | Promotional, seasonal, toy and branded packaging |
| Corner Window | Transparent material extends across the front and side panels | Apparel, bakery, toys, gifts and product-display cartons |
| Transparent Sleeve | PVC is creased and folded into a separate clear outer or inner sleeve | Premium gifts, cosmetics, stationery and promotional products |
Transparent windows display bottles, tubes, jars, palettes and gift sets while allowing the printed carton to carry brand graphics and product information.
PVC window panels allow customers to inspect the toy's shape, color and accessories without opening the box.
Clear windows can be used on cupcake, cake, biscuit, chocolate and confectionery cartons when the selected material and complete package meet the required food-packaging conditions.
Glossy or frosted PVC windows can be combined with kraft paper, specialty paper, foil stamping and printed cartons for gift sets and premium retail products.
Applications include packaging for cables, chargers, headphones, small electronic devices and consumer accessories.
Clear windows can show socks, underwear, scarves, caps, gloves, ties and other textile products while keeping them inside a printed carton.
Window boxes are used for pens, notebooks, craft products, gift sets, promotional kits and office supplies.

| Typical Selection | Select according to clarity, stiffness, crease performance, adhesive, temperature, compliance, recycling strategy and cost | ||
A standard PVC window sheet should not automatically be described as suitable for direct food contact.
Suitability depends on the exact PVC resin, stabilizers, processing aids, pigments, recycled content, surface treatment, adhesive and destination-market requirements.
Buyers should specify whether the window will directly touch food, whether an inner liner separates the product from the window and the expected contact time and temperature.
The complete package must also be evaluated, including the paperboard, printing ink, varnish, adhesive and any internal tray or liner.
An ISO quality-management certificate does not by itself establish direct food-contact compliance for the PVC window material.
Recycling acceptance depends on local collection infrastructure, the ability to separate the PVC window from the paperboard and the presence of ink, adhesive, coating and contamination.
The complete window box should not automatically be described as recyclable simply because the individual plastic or paper components can theoretically be recycled.
Claims such as biodegradable, compostable, eco-friendly or 100% recyclable should only be used when they are supported by the exact supplied material, the complete packaging structure and the applicable test or certification.
Buyers with mono-material, curbside-recycling or compostable-packaging objectives should discuss PET, PP, cellulose or certified compostable alternatives before selecting the window material.
