Product Description
HSQY manufactures decorative PVC gypsum ceiling film for laminating gypsum ceiling tiles, gypsum boards, mineral fiber boards, cement boards and other interior ceiling substrates.
The film provides a decorative, smooth and easy-to-clean surface for suspended ceiling tiles used in offices, shops, hotels, schools, hospitals, restaurants, residential interiors and other commercial buildings.
The standard product has a nominal thickness of approximately 0.075mm, a standard width of 1220mm and a reference roll length of 500m. Customized thicknesses, widths, roll lengths, patterns, colors and surface finishes are available according to the production process and order quantity.
More than 100 decorative designs can be developed, including white, pearl, marble, wood grain, metallic, geometric, floral, embossed, high-gloss and three-dimensional visual effects.
This product is a lamination film for manufacturing PVC-faced gypsum ceiling tiles. It is not a heat-stretched ceiling membrane installed directly into perimeter tracks.
The film is normally bonded to the face of a prepared gypsum board using a compatible adhesive and hot-press or cold-lamination process. The completed ceiling tile can then be cut, edge-finished, packed and installed in a suitable T-grid ceiling system.
Standard decorative film should not automatically be described as fireproof, permanently waterproof or suitable for every building project. Flame-retardant, low-VOC and restricted-substance-controlled grades require separate specifications and supporting test reports.

Decorative PVC Gypsum Ceiling Film
PVC Film for Gypsum Ceiling Boards
PVC gypsum ceiling film is a thin printed or embossed polyvinyl chloride decorative film used as the visible face layer of laminated gypsum ceiling tiles and related interior boards.
During ceiling-tile production, the film is unwound from a roll, coated with or contacted by an appropriate adhesive, aligned with the substrate and laminated onto the prepared board surface.
The film creates the finished color, pattern, gloss and texture of the ceiling tile. It can also improve surface cleanability and reduce direct moisture contact with the front face of the gypsum board.
The finished ceiling board may combine a PVC decorative face, gypsum or another board substrate, edge treatment and a metallic or aluminum-foil backing according to the ceiling manufacturer’s design.
The product is also described as PVC ceiling lamination film, embossed PVC film for gypsum tiles, decorative PVC ceiling foil, PVC facing film and PVC gypsum-board film.

| Product Type | Manufacturing or Installation Method | Typical Final Product |
|---|---|---|
| PVC Gypsum Ceiling Film | Laminated onto gypsum board or another rigid substrate during tile manufacturing | PVC-faced gypsum ceiling tile installed in a T-grid system |
| PVC Stretch Ceiling Membrane | Heated, tensioned and secured inside perimeter profiles at the installation site | Continuous flexible membrane ceiling without rigid gypsum-board backing |
Buyers should not use the two terms interchangeably because the required thickness, flexibility, processing equipment, installation system and performance tests are different.

Pattern selection should be confirmed using a physical sample because screen displays cannot accurately reproduce gloss, metallic effects, embossing depth or final color.
The gypsum board surface should be flat, clean, dry and free from loose paper fibers, dust, oil and contamination that could reduce adhesive strength.
A compatible adhesive should be selected according to the PVC formulation, board facing, lamination speed, curing method and required heat and humidity resistance.
The web should remain centered and under controlled tension to prevent wrinkles, pattern distortion, edge misalignment and telescoping.
Temperature, pressure, nip condition and line speed should be adjusted to achieve uniform bonding without shrinking, stretching, blistering or damaging the printed pattern.
Laminated boards should be conditioned for the adhesive supplier’s recommended time before cutting, stacking, edge wrapping, testing or shipment.
The finished boards can be cut into standard ceiling-tile sizes, trimmed and edge-finished according to the required square, tegular or customized profile.
| Substrate | Typical Use | Required Validation |
|---|---|---|
| Paper-Faced Gypsum Board | Standard decorative suspended ceiling tiles | Paper strength, moisture, dust, adhesive compatibility and peel strength |
| Moisture-Resistant Gypsum Board | Ceiling tiles for humid interior environments | Humidity exposure, edge sealing, backing and dimensional stability |
| Mineral Fiber Board | Decorative acoustic ceiling tiles | Surface porosity, acoustic requirements, adhesive pickup and flatness |
| Cement Board | Interior panels requiring a cementitious substrate | Alkalinity, moisture, surface treatment and long-term bond durability |
| Magnesium Oxide Board | Decorative interior panel systems | Moisture migration, salt formation, adhesive and project requirements |
| Composite Board | OEM ceiling and wall-panel programs | Surface chemistry, temperature, dimensional change and bond strength |
A smooth PVC surface is generally easier to wipe than untreated paper-faced gypsum board and can reduce the visibility of dust and light stains.
The PVC layer can reduce direct moisture contact with the front face of the board, but complete water resistance depends on the substrate, edges, joints, backing, adhesive and installation.
Resistance to cleaners, oils, disinfectants and construction chemicals depends on the PVC formulation, printing ink, exposure time and temperature.
Printed decorative film can be scratched by abrasive handling. Finished boards should be protected during cutting, stacking, transport and installation.
Indoor color durability depends on ink, PVC formulation, lighting, heat exposure, cleaning chemicals and production controls. Direct sunlight or long-term outdoor use requires separate testing.
Fire performance must be defined using an applicable test standard and the exact tested product construction.
A test result for the gypsum board, PVC film or adhesive alone should not automatically be presented as the fire rating of the complete ceiling tile or installed ceiling system.
Buyers should identify the required country, project type, test method, flame-spread classification, smoke requirement and complete board structure before selecting a flame-retardant film.
Test reports should state the PVC formulation, nominal thickness, color, printed surface, adhesive, substrate, specimen orientation and test result.
Building-material requirements vary by country and project. RoHS should not be used as the primary evidence of building-product or indoor-air compliance.
Depending on the destination market, buyers may request information concerning REACH substances, heavy metals, phthalates, formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds, smoke generation and flame-retardant additives.
The PVC film, ink, coating, adhesive and substrate should be evaluated as a complete laminated ceiling product where project compliance is required.
