Product Description
HSQY manufactures 250 micron transparent rigid PVC matte sheets for printing, folding boxes, blister packaging, document covers, commercial displays, decorative overlays, privacy inserts and other converted plastic products.
The featured thickness is 250 micron, equal to 0.25mm or approximately 9.8 mil. This thickness provides a practical balance of rigidity, flexibility, printability and die-cutting performance for packaging and graphic applications.
The matte or frosted surface reduces direct reflections and creates a softer visual appearance than polished clear PVC. Light-matte and heavier frosted finishes can be customized according to the required transparency, haze, light diffusion and privacy effect.
Standard sheet sizes include 700 × 1000mm, 750 × 1050mm, 915 × 1830mm and 1220 × 2440mm. Customized dimensions, roll widths, colors, surface textures and thicknesses from approximately 0.06mm to 2mm can be evaluated according to the production method.
This material is a rigid or semi-rigid PVC sheet. It should not be confused with soft plasticized matte PVC film used for curtains, bags, table covers or flexible enclosures.

A 250 micron transparent PVC matte sheet is a thin rigid polyvinyl chloride material with a low-gloss, lightly textured or frosted surface.
Unlike glossy clear PVC, which produces strong reflections, matte PVC diffuses reflected light and provides a softer, non-polished appearance.
The sheet remains transparent or translucent, but the exact level of visibility depends on surface roughness, haze, thickness, color and whether one or both sides are matte.
At 0.25mm, the material is stiff enough for many packaging covers, printed overlays and folding products while remaining flexible enough for die cutting, scoring and conversion.
The terms matte PVC sheet, frosted PVC sheet, anti-glare PVC sheet and translucent PVC film are sometimes used interchangeably. Buyers should define the required gloss, haze, transparency and texture rather than relying only on the product name.

| Surface | Visual Effect | Visibility | Typical Applications |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glossy Clear | Smooth, reflective and polished | Highest direct visibility | Clear boxes, blisters, windows and high-clarity covers |
| Fine Matte | Low-gloss and non-polished | Good visibility with reduced reflection | Printed overlays, cards, displays, reports and packaging |
| Light Frosted | Softly diffused and lightly textured | Partial visibility | Decorative boxes, privacy inserts, displays and light diffusion |
| Heavy Frosted | Pronounced texture and stronger diffusion | Limited detail visibility | Privacy layers, decorative panels and diffusing components |
The words matte and frosted do not define a universal optical value. Projects requiring controlled appearance should specify gloss, haze, light transmission and an approved physical sample.
A 0.25mm sheet is rigid enough for many covers, boxes, printed products and overlays but remains easier to score, fold and die cut than a thick rigid panel.
The matte finish reduces direct glare from overhead lights, retail lighting and camera flashes.
Frosted transparency creates a softer and more premium visual effect than highly polished clear packaging.
Printing-grade matte PVC can provide controlled ink adhesion for cards, signs, overlays, packaging and promotional materials.
Suitable grades can be slit, sheeted, punched, die cut, scored, folded, bonded and thermoformed.
Transparent matte PVC is used for printed overlays, promotional cards, membership cards, menus, document covers, packaging, labels and retail displays.
| Printing Method | Typical Products | Required Checks |
|---|---|---|
| Offset Printing | Cards, covers, promotional materials and printed packaging | Ink formulation, static control, drying, curing and sheet flatness |
| Screen Printing | Logos, solid colors, signs and control-panel overlays | Surface preparation, ink adhesion, drying and scratch resistance |
| UV Printing | Short-run graphics, displays and customized products | UV energy, printer settings, ink flexibility and heat distortion |
| Digital Printing | Samples, prototypes and personalized products | Ink system, primer requirement, surface treatment and curing |
| Foil Stamping | Premium packaging, cards and decorative covers | Foil type, temperature, pressure, dwell time and surface texture |
Corona treatment or primer may be required for some ink systems. Buyers should provide the printer model, ink chemistry, required dyne level, treated side and expected storage period before printing.
A physical production sample should be tested for adhesion, color reproduction, curing, scratch resistance and post-print folding before bulk production.
A 250 micron matte PVC sheet can be converted into transparent or translucent folding cartons, sleeves, presentation boxes and packaging windows.
Cosmetic and personal-care packaging.
Toy, stationery and gift packaging.
Electronic-accessory boxes.
Promotional-product packaging.
Decorative sleeves and translucent windows.
Printed folding cartons with matte visual effects.
Folding-box-grade PVC should be tested for die cutting, scoring, crease whitening, cracking, glue adhesion and automated box-forming performance.
Thermoforming-grade matte PVC can be formed into blister covers, trays, inserts and display packaging when the material formulation and forming conditions are correctly matched.
A matte surface may reduce direct product visibility compared with polished clear PVC. It is best suited to packaging that requires a diffused, decorative or reduced-glare appearance.
Forming temperature, cavity depth, corner radius, mold design, heating profile and minimum finished-wall thickness should be validated using the customer's actual equipment.
Frosted PVC can be used as a lightweight privacy or diffusing layer in framed partitions, displays, lighting products and decorative assemblies.
A 250 micron sheet is not normally thick or rigid enough to function as a self-supporting architectural partition.
It should be mounted in a frame, laminated to another substrate or used as an insert. Structural partitions normally require a substantially thicker PVC, acrylic, PETG or polycarbonate panel.
| Material | Main Characteristics | Typical Applications | Selection Considerations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Matte PVC | Cost-effective, printable, formable and available in multiple surface textures | Folding boxes, printing, overlays, covers and blisters | PVC recycling infrastructure, additives and target-market requirements |
| Matte PET | Good stiffness, clarity and dimensional stability | Packaging, printing, protective overlays and PET-based products | Higher cost, forming grade and local PET recycling compatibility |
| Matte PP | Lightweight, flexible and resistant to repeated bending | Stationery, folders, flexible covers and reusable products | Lower optical clarity and different printing-treatment requirements |
Standard transparent rigid PVC matte sheet is primarily recommended for indoor printing, packaging, stationery, displays and decorative applications.
Prolonged exposure to sunlight and outdoor weather can cause yellowing, fading, brittleness, surface change or loss of mechanical performance.
Outdoor projects should specify a UV-stabilized formulation, expected exposure duration, climate, color, installation method and required weathering test.
Standard PVC should not automatically be marketed as permanently weather-resistant or non-yellowing.
Standard matte PVC sheet should not automatically be described as suitable for direct food contact, pharmaceutical packaging or medical-device applications.
Suitability depends on the PVC resin, stabilizer, lubricant, processing aid, impact modifier, pigment, recycled content and manufacturing controls used for the exact product.
Buyers requiring regulated materials should specify the destination market, application, contact conditions, required test method and documentation before ordering.
RoHS, REACH, SGS test reports and ISO management-system certificates have different scopes and do not automatically establish food-contact or medical compliance.
Transparent PVC matte sheet should not be described generally as fireproof.
Flame performance depends on formulation, thickness, test direction, conditioning and the selected fire-test method.
A flame-retardant rating should only be stated when a valid report covers the exact product grade and thickness.
Laser cutting PVC is generally not recommended because thermal decomposition may release corrosive chlorine-containing fumes that can harm personnel and equipment.
Mechanical cutting, die cutting, punching and routing are normally preferred unless specialized PVC-processing equipment and extraction systems are available.

It is a 0.25mm rigid or semi-rigid transparent PVC sheet with a low-gloss, textured or frosted surface.
A thickness of 250 micron equals 0.25mm or approximately 9.8 mil.
Yes. A rigid PVC formulation provides useful stiffness, although a 0.25mm sheet remains flexible enough to bend, score and fold.
Matte usually describes a low-gloss surface. Frosted normally describes a more diffusing texture with increased haze. Actual appearance should be defined by a sample or optical values.
It remains transparent or translucent, but the textured surface reduces direct clarity. Heavier frosted surfaces produce greater visual diffusion.
Matte/matte and matte/glossy surface combinations can be evaluated according to the production process and quantity.
Yes. Printing-grade material can support offset, screen and UV printing after ink, surface and curing compatibility are tested.
Some inks require corona treatment or primer. Buyers should specify the required dyne level and treated side.
Yes. Suitable folding-box grades can be die cut, scored, folded and bonded into lightweight transparent or frosted cartons.
A thermoforming-grade formulation can be vacuum formed or thermoformed. Heating conditions and finished-wall thickness should be tested.
Yes. Matte blister-grade PVC can be used when reduced glare or a diffused visual effect is required.
It is too thin to function as a self-supporting partition. It can be used as a framed privacy insert, diffuser or laminated decorative layer.
Yes. A 250 micron matte sheet provides a rigid, reduced-glare cover for reports, presentations, manuals and catalogs.
Yes. Natural clear, blue-tint, transparent colored, translucent and opaque colors can be evaluated.
Standard sizes include 700 × 1000mm, 750 × 1050mm, 915 × 1830mm and 1220 × 2440mm. Customized dimensions are available.
Thin specifications can be supplied as master or slit rolls when the width, diameter, core and material rigidity are suitable.
Standard material is primarily intended for indoor use. Outdoor applications require a UV-stabilized grade and application-specific weathering evaluation.
Standard PVC matte sheet should not automatically be used for direct food contact. A qualified formulation and destination-market documentation are required.
General environmental claims should not be made without supporting evidence. Environmental performance depends on formulation, recycled content, production, product design and local waste-management infrastructure.
PVC can technically be recycled, but actual recyclability depends on local collection, sorting, printing, adhesives, coatings and contamination.
Selected recycled-content formulations may be available, but recycled material can affect transparency, color, impurities, printability and forming consistency.
Conventional laser cutting is generally not recommended because heated PVC may release corrosive chlorine-containing fumes. Mechanical cutting or die cutting is normally preferred.
The standard MOQ is approximately 1,000kg. Customized colors, textures, treatments and uncommon dimensions may require a different quantity.
Stock samples may be available for checking thickness, haze, texture, printing and folding. Courier freight is normally paid by the buyer.
Standard production normally takes approximately 7-15 days after the specification, quantity, packaging and payment are confirmed.
Provide the thickness, dimensions, color, matte level, application, printing or forming process, quantity, packaging, destination and required reports.
