Colored Polypropylene Sheet
HSQY 0.6mm translucent matte colored polypropylene sheet is designed for stationery, packaging, printing, displays and custom plastic fabrication. The sheet combines a soft translucent colored appearance with a low-glare matte surface while retaining the lightweight, moisture-resistant and chemical-resistant characteristics of polypropylene.
The featured 0.6mm thickness provides a practical balance between flexibility and stiffness for folders, notebook covers, dividers, packaging inserts, decorative covers and other converted products. Different colors, widths and surface textures can be discussed according to the finished-product design and processing method.

A translucent colored PP sheet allows part of the incident light to pass through while maintaining a visible color. Objects or printed materials behind the sheet may remain partially visible, but fine details are less clear than through a transparent sheet.
The matte surface reduces direct reflection and creates a softer visual appearance than a high-gloss surface. This combination makes translucent matte polypropylene useful for stationery, packaging, decorative products and displays where both color and controlled visibility are important.
| PP Appearance | Visual Characteristic | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| Transparent | Higher visibility through the material | Packaging windows, covers and applications requiring greater product visibility |
| Translucent | Allows light through while partially obscuring details | Folders, colored covers, packaging, dividers and decorative products |
| Opaque | Designed to block most visibility through the sheet | Covers, industrial panels, signage and concealed packaging |
Lower glare: The matte texture reduces strong surface reflections compared with a high-gloss finish.
Soft visual appearance: The combination of color, translucency and matte texture provides a more diffused appearance.
Reduced visibility of handling marks: Textured surfaces can make minor fingerprints and handling marks less visually prominent than highly polished surfaces.
Flexible design options: Matte PP can be matched with different colors, opacity levels and converting methods.
Suitable for printed and converted products: Properly specified PP sheet can be cut, scored, folded, punched, die-cut and printed.
0.6mm featured thickness: Suitable for many stationery, packaging and converting applications requiring a relatively thin and flexible plastic sheet.
Translucent colored appearance: Combines color with partial light transmission rather than complete opacity.
Matte surface: Provides lower reflection and a softer appearance.
Lightweight: Polypropylene has a relatively low density, helping reduce the weight of converted products.
Chemical resistance: PP provides resistance to many acids, alkalis and common chemicals, subject to concentration and service conditions.
Very low moisture absorption: Suitable for products regularly exposed to humidity or handling.
Flexible processing: Depending on the grade, PP sheet can be cut, punched, scored, folded, die-cut or thermoformed.
Custom appearance: Color, translucency, surface texture, width and dimensions can be discussed according to project requirements.
The 0.6mm gauge is especially suitable for converted products that need a lightweight plastic structure together with color, flexibility and a decorative matte appearance.

Polypropylene naturally has relatively low surface energy, so standard untreated PP should not automatically be assumed to provide reliable ink adhesion. If the finished product will be printed, the required printing method should be specified before production.
Corona-treated or other application-specific printable surfaces can be evaluated when required. Printing performance depends on surface treatment, ink chemistry, curing method, texture and printing equipment. A production sample should be tested before bulk printing whenever print adhesion or color accuracy is critical.
| Printing Requirement | What to Confirm |
|---|---|
| Printing Method | Screen printing, UV offset, selected UV digital process or other method |
| Surface Treatment | One-side or two-side treatment if required |
| Surface Texture | Matte, frosted, smooth or other required finish |
| Ink Adhesion | Test with the intended ink and curing process before bulk production |
Colored PP sheet can be produced with different visual effects by adjusting the pigment, resin formulation, thickness and surface texture. For projects requiring a specific appearance, buyers should define both the target color and the required degree of translucency.
Color should preferably be approved on the final requested thickness and surface texture. The same color formulation can appear different on a matte, frosted or smooth surface and may also appear different when sheet thickness or translucency changes.
For customized projects, send a physical color sample or an agreed color reference together with the required opacity or translucency. Final visual acceptance should be based on an approved production sample.
| Surface | Appearance | Typical Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Matte | Lower reflection and soft surface appearance | Folders, covers, packaging and printed products |
| Frosted | Diffused translucent appearance | Packaging, dividers and decorative covers |
| Twill | Visible woven-style texture | Stationery, notebook covers and decorative products |
| Sand | Fine granular texture | Folders, packaging and industrial covers |
| Patterned | Customized embossed visual texture | Decorative packaging and specialty converted products |
For B2B production, appearance should be evaluated together with dimensional and processing requirements. Buyers should define the acceptance criteria before bulk production where color or surface appearance is important.

Export Packaging for Colored Polypropylene Sheets
A translucent colored PP sheet contains color while still allowing some light to pass through the material. It provides less direct visibility than a transparent sheet and is commonly used for decorative covers, stationery, packaging and dividers.
A matte PP surface produces less direct reflection than a glossy surface and provides a softer visual appearance. It is frequently selected for folders, notebook covers, decorative packaging and printed products.
A 0.6mm polypropylene sheet is relatively thin and flexible compared with thicker PP panels. Its actual stiffness depends on the resin grade, orientation, surface structure, dimensions and finished-product design.
Yes. Colored PP sheet is commonly used for folders, dividers, binder covers, notebook covers and related stationery products because it combines flexibility, moisture resistance, low weight and customizable appearance.
Yes, provided the PP grade and surface are prepared for the intended printing process. Because polypropylene has relatively low surface energy, corona treatment or another suitable surface treatment may be required for reliable ink adhesion.
Custom color development can be discussed for qualified bulk orders. Provide a physical color sample or agreed reference together with the required thickness, surface and translucency. Final color should be approved using a production sample.
The current product program includes matte, twill, patterned, sand and frosted surfaces. Availability should be confirmed for the required thickness, color and width.
The current product specification lists widths up to approximately 1600mm for selected colored PP sheet specifications. Maximum width may vary according to thickness, color and surface texture.
Yes. Suitable polypropylene sheet can be cut, punched, scored, folded and die-cut for folders, packaging and other converted products. Processing conditions should be verified for the selected thickness and PP grade.
Please provide the required thickness, width or sheet size, color, translucency, surface texture, application, printing or converting method, order quantity and destination.
