Product Description
HSQY manufactures 0.5mm and 1mm transparent rigid PVC sheets for clear folding boxes, paper-box windows, printing, thermoforming, vacuum forming, retail displays, protective inserts and industrial plastic conversion.
The material combines clear product visibility, practical rigidity, dimensional support, low moisture absorption and compatibility with common cutting, printing, folding and forming processes.
A 0.5mm clear PVC sheet is lighter and easier to score, fold and shallow-form. It is commonly selected for transparent cartons, packaging windows, printed covers, display inserts and lightweight thermoformed packaging.
A 1mm clear PVC sheet provides greater stiffness and shape retention. It is better suited to rigid display panels, protective inserts, formed components, durable packaging and fabricated parts requiring additional support.
HSQY supplies transparent rigid PVC in rolls, flat sheets and custom-cut pieces. Roll width, sheet dimensions, color tint, transparency, surface finish, protective film, recycled-content level and export packaging can be customized.
Printing-grade, folding-box-grade, thermoforming-grade, antistatic, UV-stabilized, impact-modified and flame-retardant PVC are separate technical options. Buyers should specify the actual processing method and required test standard before ordering.

Transparent rigid PVC sheet is a clear thermoplastic material manufactured from a rigid polyvinyl chloride compound. Unlike flexible PVC film, it contains a formulation designed to retain useful stiffness and dimensional stability.
Depending on its formulation and manufacturing process, rigid PVC can be printed, cut, die cut, scored, folded, punched, drilled, bonded, vacuum formed or thermoformed.
The terms clear rigid PVC sheet, transparent PVC film, rigid vinyl sheet, PVC folding-box sheet and PVC thermoforming sheet are sometimes used for related products. Buyers should specify thickness, hardness, supply form and application because these names do not always describe the same grade.
A general-purpose clear PVC sheet should not automatically be treated as printing grade, pharmaceutical grade, food-contact grade, long-term outdoor grade or tested flame-retardant material.

| Printing | Easier sheet handling for packaging and covers | Better support for rigid signs and display panels |
| Typical Applications | Folding boxes, windows, printed covers, display inserts and shallow thermoforming | Rigid displays, protective inserts, formed components and industrial fabrication |
Thickness selection should also consider the unsupported span, product weight, forming depth, bending radius, rigidity requirement, printing method and assembly equipment.
Transparent PVC allows packaged products, printed graphics and display contents to remain visible. Final clarity depends on the resin, stabilizer system, recycled content, thickness and surface finish.
Rigid PVC provides shape retention for folding cartons, packaging windows, display panels, thermoformed components and fabricated inserts.
The non-porous PVC surface has low water absorption and is suitable for many packaging and display applications exposed to normal humidity.
PVC resists many acids, alkalis, oils and common chemicals. Compatibility depends on chemical concentration, temperature, exposure time and mechanical stress.
Suitable grades can be offset printed, screen printed, UV printed, foil stamped, embossed or decorated with compatible labels and coatings.
Box-grade PVC can be die cut, scored, creased and folded into transparent cartons. Tool design and material orientation affect whitening, cracking and fold quality.
Thermoforming-grade PVC can be heated and formed into blisters, trays, clamshell inserts and protective components using validated processing conditions.
Natural clear, blue-tint, transparent colors, opaque colors, glossy, matte, frosted and textured finishes can be customized.
Transparent rigid PVC is used to manufacture clear folding cartons for cosmetics, gifts, toys, electronics, stationery, hardware and other retail products.
Die-cutting of carton profiles, tabs, slots, hooks and hanging holes.
Scoring and creasing for straight folds and defined corners.
Offset, screen or UV printing for branding and product information.
Foil stamping, embossing and decorative finishing.
Adhesive bonding, ultrasonic welding or suitable plastic-joining methods.
Manual or automated box assembly after material testing.
Buyers should test sheet direction, crease depth, fold radius, stress whitening, adhesive strength and automated feeding before approving bulk production.
Transparent rigid PVC can be used for printed packaging, signs, promotional displays, covers, labels and advertising products. Printing performance depends on surface energy, ink chemistry, sheet flatness and curing conditions.
| Printing Method | Typical Use | Important Checks |
|---|---|---|
| Offset Printing | Commercial packaging, cards and printed sheets | Ink compatibility, static control, drying and sheet feeding |
| Screen Printing | Logos, text, solid colors and decorative graphics | Ink adhesion, mesh, curing and scratch resistance |
| UV Printing | Detailed graphics, displays and short-run customization | UV energy, heat buildup, adhesion and ink flexibility |
| Foil Stamping | Premium packaging, metallic logos and decorative elements | Foil grade, temperature, pressure and PVC deformation |
| Digital Printing | Prototypes and short-run graphic applications | Printer model, ink system, primer and curing temperature |
Ink adhesion, color density, drying, curing, scratch resistance, blocking and post-print folding should be tested using the final sheet specification.
Suitable rigid PVC grades can be formed into transparent trays, blister packs, clamshell inserts, protective covers and retail packaging.
Folding-box and printing formulations may not provide the same forming behavior as a dedicated thermoforming grade. The final application should be stated in the purchase specification.
Uneven heating can produce thin corners, webbing, distortion, weak flanges and inconsistent cavity definition.
Deep cavities require greater material distribution. Starting thickness should be selected according to cavity depth, corner radius and minimum finished-wall requirement.
Material orientation, mold temperature and cooling time can affect part dimensions, flange flatness and stacking performance.
Test the selected sheet on the actual thermoforming machine, mold, heating zones and production speed before approving the order.
Clear PVC can be guillotine cut, knife cut, die cut, routed or machined. The suitable method depends on thickness, quantity, edge-quality requirements and equipment.
Use an adhesive developed for PVC and the second substrate. Bond strength should be checked after curing, aging, temperature exposure and product filling.
Compatible PVC components can be joined using high-frequency welding, ultrasonic welding, heat welding or other validated methods.
Hole diameter, tool sharpness, feed speed and distance from the sheet edge should be controlled to reduce cracking and burrs.
Natural clear PVC is selected when product visibility and transparent presentation are the primary requirements.
A controlled blue tint can visually reduce the naturally warm appearance of PVC. Final tint should be approved using a physical production sample.
Frosted and matte surfaces reduce glare, partially obscure the product and create a diffused or premium appearance.
Red, yellow, blue, green and other transparent colors can be customized according to an approved physical sample or color reference.
Protective film can reduce scratching during cutting, printing, fabrication and transportation. Film adhesion should be matched to the PVC surface and removal process.
| Process | General Characteristics | Common Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Extrusion | Continuous production with flexible thickness, width and sheet-format control | Thermoforming, industrial fabrication, displays and thicker sheet production |
| Calendering | Suitable for thin rigid PVC with controlled surface and high-volume roll output | Printing, folding boxes, binding covers, windows and thin-gauge packaging |
Material should be selected according to optical quality, processing behavior and final performance rather than production-process name alone.
| Material | Main Advantages | Typical Limitations | Typical Selection |

Explore additional PVC clear sheet products for packaging, printing, folding-box and thermoforming applications.
Standard industrial PVC sheet should not automatically be described as suitable for direct food contact, pharmaceutical packaging or medical-device packaging.
Suitability depends on the exact PVC resin, stabilizer, lubricant, impact modifier, pigment, recycled-content level and manufacturing controls.
Buyers requiring food-contact material should specify the destination market, food type, contact time, contact temperature, forming process and whether the PVC directly contacts the product.
Pharmaceutical and medical packaging may require additional controls for composition, cleanliness, barrier performance, traceability and regulatory documentation.
RoHS and ISO management-system certificates do not replace product-specific food-contact, pharmaceutical or medical testing.
Standard transparent rigid PVC is primarily recommended for indoor packaging, printing, display and fabrication.
Long-term sunlight exposure can affect clarity, color, impact strength and surface appearance. Outdoor projects should specify a UV-stabilized formulation and required weathering test.
Expected climate, sunlight intensity, temperature range, installation method and target service life should be provided before material selection.
A transparent PVC sheet should not be marketed with a specific fire or flame classification unless the exact formulation and thickness have been tested according to the required standard.
Buyers should provide the target test method, required rating, thickness, color, orientation and final application.
The term “fireproof” should not be used because plastic sheet can still ignite, soften, melt, smoke or lose mechanical integrity under fire exposure.
| Selection Factor | Virgin-Resin PVC Compound | Recycled-Content PVC |
|---|---|---|
| Clarity | Preferred for high-transparency and tightly controlled visual requirements | Clarity and haze can vary according to recycled source and percentage |
| Color | Easier to control between production batches | May require wider color and impurity tolerances |
| Processing | More consistent for demanding printing, forming and folding | Must be tested for forming, folding and surface consistency |
| Regulated Use | Better suited to projects requiring controlled raw materials | May be restricted by application or target-market requirements |
