HSQY polycarbonate LED light diffuser sheet is an optical PC sheet designed to spread light from LED point sources into a softer and more uniform illuminated surface. It helps reduce visible LED hotspots and glare while maintaining useful light transmission for panel lights, ceiling lamps, downlights, light boxes, signage and architectural lighting.

What Is a Polycarbonate Light Diffuser Sheet?

A polycarbonate light diffuser sheet is an optical plastic panel designed to scatter and redistribute light passing through the material. In an LED fixture, individual LEDs act as small point light sources. Without sufficient diffusion, these points can remain visible as bright spots or hotspots through the cover.

A diffuser sheet helps mix the light before it leaves the luminaire, producing a more even illuminated appearance. The optical design needs to balance two competing requirements: sufficient diffusion to hide LED points and sufficient transmission to avoid unnecessary loss of usable light.
