Product Description
HSQY CPET ready meal trays are dual-ovenable food containers designed for frozen meals, chilled prepared foods, airline catering, railway meals, supermarket ready meals and other heat-and-serve food packaging applications.
CPET, or crystallized polyethylene terephthalate, provides the thermal stability required for selected applications involving frozen or chilled storage followed by reheating in a microwave or conventional oven. Suitable HSQY CPET tray designs can be evaluated for approximately -40°C to +220°C applications, subject to validation of the actual tray, food product, heating time and equipment.
The current CPET-06 product range includes black and white trays, representative sizes such as 162×104×35mm and 215×165×38mm, and capacities including 300ml, 500ml and 800ml. Additional dimensions, capacities, shapes and colors can be evaluated for qualified bulk projects.

A CPET ready meal tray is a rigid thermoformed food container manufactured from crystallized PET. Crystallization improves thermal stability and allows properly designed CPET trays to perform in applications that require a wider temperature range than standard cold-use PET trays.
A typical CPET packaging workflow can include filling, sealing, chilling or freezing, transportation, refrigerated or frozen storage, reheating and serving from the same tray.
This freezer-to-oven capability makes CPET particularly useful for ready-meal manufacturers, airline caterers, central kitchens, institutional foodservice companies and frozen-food brands.
Because CPET is non-metallic, properly qualified trays can also support microwave reheating. The actual microwave and oven instructions should always be verified using the selected tray and complete food package.

CPET Tray Dimension and Capacity Reference
Qualified CPET trays can support food packaging workflows that move from chilled or frozen storage into microwave or conventional-oven reheating without transferring the meal into another container.
The non-metallic CPET tray can be used in appropriate microwave applications after the actual tray, food product, microwave power and heating duration have been validated.
Suitable CPET formulations provide dimensional stability at elevated temperatures and can be evaluated for conventional-oven applications up to the approved temperature and exposure time of the specific tray.
CPET trays can support chilled and frozen ready-meal distribution when low-temperature performance has been verified for the selected tray design and food package.
CPET trays can be paired with compatible lidding films for sealed ready-meal packaging. Seal performance depends on the tray flange, film sealing layer, temperature, pressure, dwell time and cleanliness of the sealing area.
Well-designed tray geometry can support denesting, filling, sealing, case packing, transportation and warehouse stacking in high-volume ready-meal production.
Black and white CPET trays can be selected according to food presentation and branding requirements. Additional color options should be confirmed according to production feasibility and order volume.

The performance of a sealed ready-meal pack depends on both the CPET tray and the lidding film. The film should be selected according to tray flange composition, storage temperature, heating process, peel requirement and packaging-machine conditions.
Depending on the application, the package may require easy-peel, strong-seal, anti-fog, freezer-resistant or specially qualified ovenable lidding film.
Seal integrity must be confirmed using the actual tray, film, food product and tray-sealer settings. A CPET tray by itself should not automatically be described as producing a completely leakproof finished package.
Specify whether the tray will contain pasta, rice, curry, meat, vegetables, sauce, desserts or another prepared food. Food composition affects heating behavior and tray selection.
Provide both required volume and actual meal weight. This page currently includes representative 300ml, 500ml and 800ml options.
Tray length, width and depth must fit the food portion, sealing tool, retail shelf, carton and any airline or institutional catering equipment.
State whether the meal is chilled or frozen, the minimum storage temperature and expected storage period.
Where microwave reheating is required, provide microwave power, starting food temperature, fill weight and heating duration.
State the actual oven temperature and heating time. A maximum-temperature statement alone is not sufficient to validate a ready-meal package.
Provide tray-sealer manufacturer, model, tooling dimensions and current lidding-film specification when automatic line compatibility is required.
Food-contact and migration requirements vary by destination market. Provide the applicable market and required documentation before final material approval.

CPET thermal performance depends on more than material name. Tray thickness, crystallinity, geometry, food load, starting temperature and heating conditions all influence actual performance.
Selected HSQY CPET tray designs can be evaluated for approximately -40°C to +220°C applications, but commercial validation should use the exact tray, food product, storage cycle and heating program.
The lidding film, rigid lid, label, sleeve or other packaging component may have a different temperature limit from the CPET tray and should be evaluated separately.
After oven or microwave heating, follow the approved handling instructions for the complete meal package because both the food and container may remain hot.
CPET is a PET-based material and can technically enter suitable PET recycling streams. Actual acceptance and sorting capability vary by country, municipality, tray color and local recycling infrastructure.
Recycling claims should therefore reflect the collection and sorting infrastructure of the intended market rather than assuming every CPET tray will be recycled everywhere.
