HSQY 0.5mm clear PETG plastic sheet is a high-clarity copolyester sheet designed for thermoforming, printing, signage, display, protective covers, food contact packaging and industrial plastic processing. PETG sheet combines excellent transparency, toughness, chemical resistance and easy processing performance.

Clear PETG Plastic Sheet Product Description

PETG, also known as glycol-modified PET or GPET, is a non-crystalline copolyester. It is produced from TPA, EG and CHDM through condensation polymerization. The CHDM component gives PETG different performance from standard PET, including easier forming, better bonding and reduced whitening during processing.

Because PETG has no crystallization temperature, it is easy to mold, bend and bond without whitening. This makes clear PETG sheet a strong choice for thermoformed parts, transparent panels, printed displays, card materials, packaging and fabricated plastic products.

Outstanding Thermoforming Performance

PETG sheets are easy to form into complex shapes and large stretch-ratio products. Unlike PC board and impact-modified acrylic, PETG sheet usually does not need pre-drying before thermoforming. Compared with PC board or acrylic, PETG sheet offers a shorter molding cycle, lower forming temperature and higher forming yield.

Excellent Toughness

Extruded PETG sheet is usually 15 to 20 times tougher than general acrylic and 5 to 10 times tougher than impact-modified acrylic. This toughness helps prevent cracking during processing, transportation and final use.

Weather Resistance

PETG sheet provides excellent weather resistance and can help maintain product toughness while reducing yellowing. UV absorbers can be co-extruded into a protective layer to help protect the sheet from ultraviolet damage.

Easy Processing

PETG sheet can be sawed, die-cut, drilled, punched, sheared, riveted, milled and cold-formed without breaking. Slight surface scratches can be reduced with hot air treatment, and solvent bonding is also commonly used. PETG is easier to process than general acrylic, impact-modified acrylic and PC board.
