Solid Polycarbonate Sheet
HSQY 10mm UV resistant solid polycarbonate sheet is a strong, transparent and lightweight glazing material designed for roofing, skylights, canopies, covered walkways, sunrooms and other outdoor architectural applications. It combines high light transmission, impact resistance and UV-weathering protection for projects that require daylight and long-term outdoor performance.
The featured thickness is 10mm, while HSQY can also supply solid polycarbonate sheets from 1.5mm to 12mm in clear, green, blue, smoke, brown, opal and customized colors. Single-sided or double-sided UV protection can be selected according to the application.
A 10mm solid polycarbonate sheet is a flat, non-hollow polycarbonate panel with a solid cross-section. Compared with ordinary glass, it offers a combination of lower weight, high impact resistance and easier fabrication, making it suitable for transparent roofing and architectural glazing.
For outdoor use, the polycarbonate surface can be provided with a UV-resistant treatment designed to reduce degradation and yellowing caused by long-term exposure to sunlight. This makes UV protected solid polycarbonate particularly suitable for roofs, skylights, canopies, shelters and exterior glazing.

Clear solid polycarbonate sheet can provide light transmission of more than 85%, allowing natural daylight to enter while maintaining the strength and durability required for many roofing and glazing projects.
The UV-resistant surface treatment helps protect the polycarbonate material against long-term weathering caused by sunlight. Single-sided UV protection can be used where only one surface faces the sun, while double-sided UV protection is available for applications where both surfaces may be exposed.
Solid polycarbonate is widely selected for applications requiring greater impact resistance than conventional glazing materials. This helps reduce the risk of breakage in roofing, protective glazing, public buildings and industrial environments.
Polycarbonate sheet is lightweight compared with traditional glass glazing and can be cut, drilled and fabricated for different project requirements. The lower handling weight can also simplify transportation and installation.
HSQY solid polycarbonate sheet is designed for use across a temperature range from approximately -40°C to +120°C, supporting applications in different climates and outdoor environments.
In addition to transparent clear sheet, HSQY supplies green, blue, smoke, brown, opal and customized colors. Different sheet widths, thicknesses and project-specific dimensions can also be discussed for wholesale and engineering orders.
The combination of transparency, UV resistance, impact performance and weather resistance makes 10mm solid polycarbonate sheet suitable for a wide range of architectural, commercial and industrial applications.
Typical applications include transparent roofing, skylights, canopies, sunrooms, covered walkways, entrance roofs, glass curtain wall systems, interior and exterior glazing, storm-resistant doors and windows, shop windows, museum display cases, observation windows, safety glazing and protective partitions.
A 10mm solid polycarbonate roofing sheet is particularly suitable for projects where a transparent or translucent roof must combine daylight, weather resistance and impact performance. Unlike hollow multiwall sheet, solid polycarbonate has a continuous cross-section and provides a glass-like appearance for architectural glazing.
For architects, contractors, distributors and project buyers, the final sheet specification should be selected according to span, support spacing, wind load, snow load, fixing system and local building requirements. Contact HSQY with your project dimensions and application so that the appropriate sheet configuration can be discussed.
| Comparison | 10mm Solid Polycarbonate | Conventional Glass |
| Impact Resistance | High | More susceptible to breakage |
| Weight | Lightweight | Heavier |
| Fabrication | Can be cut, drilled and fabricated | Requires specialized glass processing |
| Outdoor UV Option | UV-resistant surface treatment available | Depends on glass specification |
| Roofing Application | Suitable for many transparent roofing applications | Suitable but typically heavier to handle |
Solid polycarbonate sheet can be cut and drilled using appropriate fabrication tools. During installation, sufficient allowance should be made for thermal expansion and contraction, and fixing holes should not prevent normal sheet movement.
Where a sheet has UV protection on only one side, the UV-protected side should face the exterior and direct sunlight. For roofing projects, the support structure, fixing distance, sheet span, wind load and snow load should be confirmed by the project engineer or installer before installation.
Protective film should remain on the sheet during transportation and most fabrication operations to reduce surface scratching, and should be removed according to installation requirements after the panel is fixed.
HSQY supplies solid polycarbonate sheet for distributors, wholesalers, fabricators, roofing contractors and architectural projects. Buyers can discuss different sheet widths, thicknesses, colors and UV treatment requirements according to the intended application.
When requesting a quotation, provide the required thickness, width, length, color, UV protection requirement, quantity, application and destination port. This allows the sales team to prepare a more accurate quotation and packing plan.
HSQY uses protective packaging according to sheet dimensions, order quantity and transportation requirements to help reduce surface damage during international shipment.
Sample Packaging: Sheets in protective PE bags and cartons.
Sheet Packaging: Approximately 30kg per bag with PE film, or according to customer requirements.
Pallet Packaging: Approximately 500-2000kg per plywood pallet depending on sheet dimensions and order requirements.
Container Loading: Container loading plans can be optimized for international transportation.
Trade Terms: FOB, CIF and EXW options are available.
