Flame Retardant Polypropylene Sheet
HSQY supplies clear UL 94 V-0 flame retardant polypropylene sheet for electrical insulation, equipment protection, industrial fabrication and applications that require improved flame-retardant performance. The sheet combines the low density, chemical resistance, low moisture absorption and processability of polypropylene with a flame-retardant formulation.
Available thicknesses range from 0.1 mm to 3 mm, with customized width, length, color and surface texture. Clear, translucent, black and customized colors can be discussed according to the thickness, formulation and optical requirement. Because flame-retardant additives may affect transparency, buyers should confirm the required haze, light transmission and visual appearance before mass production.
The stated UL 94 V-0 performance applies only to the material grade, specimen thickness and test conditions shown in the relevant test report. It should not be interpreted as proof that every thickness, fabricated part or finished product automatically carries the same rating. Send your required thickness, application, drawing, flame standard and order quantity so HSQY can confirm the appropriate specification.

UL 94 is a laboratory test system used to classify the burning behavior of plastic materials exposed to a controlled ignition source. In the vertical test, V-0 is the highest classification within the V-0, V-1 and V-2 group. It evaluates afterflame time, afterglow time and whether flaming particles ignite the cotton indicator below the specimen.
A V-0 classification does not mean that polypropylene is non-combustible or fireproof. It also does not replace an end-product fire-safety evaluation, building-material fire test or application-specific approval. The rating is connected to the tested material formulation, specimen thickness, conditioning and test method.
Very thin, flexible materials may be evaluated under the UL 94 VTM method rather than the self-supporting vertical V method. VTM-0 and V-0 are different classifications and should not be treated as interchangeable. For material below the tested V-0 thickness, request the applicable report before specifying the sheet.
Improved flame-retardant behavior: Formulated for UL 94 V-0 performance at the tested thickness and conditions.
Low moisture absorption: Helps maintain electrical and dimensional performance in humid operating environments.
Chemical resistance: Polypropylene generally resists many acids and alkalis, although compatibility must be checked for the actual chemical, concentration and temperature.
Electrical insulation: Suitable for selected insulation barriers, covers and equipment components after the required electrical properties are verified.
Lightweight structure: PP has a lower density than many engineering sheet materials, helping reduce component weight.
Impact and fatigue resistance: Supports fabricated parts that require repeated handling or flexing, subject to thickness and temperature.
Custom sheet production: Thickness, width, length, color, texture and packaging can be adjusted for B2B projects.
Electrical and electronics: Insulation barriers, internal shields, battery and power-system separators, appliance components and control-equipment covers where the design specification permits PP.
Industrial equipment: Machine guards, equipment liners, partitions, protective covers and fabricated housings.
Chemical processing: Selected tank liners, barriers, ducts and fabricated components exposed to compatible acids or alkalis.
Water treatment: Covers, dividers, baffles and equipment components that require moisture resistance and chemical compatibility.
Industrial packaging: Reusable trays, separators, protective sheets and custom converted parts where flame-retardant performance is specified.

Flame retardant PP sheet can be converted by cutting, punching, scoring, bending, thermoforming and heat welding. Processing conditions should be tested because the flame-retardant formulation, thickness and surface texture can influence forming temperature, bending behavior, weld strength and appearance.
Polypropylene has relatively low surface energy, so conventional adhesives and printing inks may not bond reliably without corona treatment, flame treatment, primer or a PP-compatible adhesive system. Buyers should conduct adhesion and fabrication trials using production-grade material before approving the final process.
When the sheet is used as an electrical component, enclosure part or safety-critical barrier, confirm dielectric performance, operating temperature, dimensional tolerance, flame rating at the exact thickness and any end-product approval required by the destination market.
HSQY can manufacture clear or colored flame retardant polypropylene sheets according to the buyer’s converting equipment and end-use requirements. Customized width, length, thickness, surface texture, color, roll or sheet format and export packaging are available subject to technical feasibility and minimum production quantity.
Provide the following information for an accurate quotation:
1. Required thickness, width and length.
2. Clear, translucent, black or customized color.
3. Glossy, matte, line texture or other surface requirement.
4. Required UL 94 classification and minimum tested thickness.
5. End use, operating temperature, chemical exposure and electrical requirements.
6. Processing method, drawing, tolerance and finished-part dimensions.
7. Order quantity, annual demand and destination port.
Sample packaging: A4-size sheets packed in PP bags or cartons.
Sheet packaging: Approximately 30 kg per bag or customized according to sheet dimensions.
Pallet packaging: Approximately 500–2,000 kg per plywood pallet, depending on size and transport requirements.
Container loading: The loading quantity depends on sheet dimensions, pallet configuration and container weight limits.
Delivery terms: EXW, FOB, CNF and DDU are available subject to order confirmation.
Typical lead time: Approximately 10–14 days after specifications, payment and production schedule are confirmed.
HSQY can provide available data sheets, flame test reports and quality-system documents for buyer review. Before purchasing, verify that the report identifies the exact product grade, tested thickness, color and test classification required for your project. A supplier test report or management-system certificate is not automatically an end-product certification.

It is a polypropylene sheet formulated to meet the UL 94 V-0 vertical burning classification at a specified tested thickness. It retains the lightweight, chemical-resistant and low-moisture characteristics of PP while improving flame-retardant performance.
No. V-0 describes performance in a controlled small-scale vertical burning test. It does not mean the material cannot burn, and it does not replace a finished-product fire-safety assessment or a building-material fire test.
Not automatically. UL 94 performance depends on the material formulation and tested specimen thickness. Confirm that the test report covers the thickness required for your application. Very thin flexible material may require a VTM classification instead of the self-supporting V test.
The material may appear clear or translucent, but optical performance depends on thickness, flame-retardant additives, surface texture and production conditions. State the required haze, light transmission and appearance so a sample can be evaluated.
Yes. HSQY can discuss customized thickness, width, length, color, transparency, surface texture and packaging. The minimum order quantity and technical feasibility depend on the specification.
Yes. The sheet can generally be cut, punched, bent, thermoformed and heat welded. Process conditions should be validated because thickness, additives and texture can affect forming and welding behavior.
No material is resistant to every chemical. PP generally performs well against many acids and alkalis, but resistance varies with the chemical, concentration, temperature, exposure time and mechanical stress. Provide the operating conditions for compatibility review.
The listed MOQ is 3 tons. A typical production lead time is approximately 10–14 days after specification, payment and production scheduling are confirmed. Customized formulations or colors may require a different quantity or schedule.
Yes. A4-size stock samples and available test documents can be requested. Confirm the sample thickness and grade match the material covered by the report. International courier freight is normally paid by the buyer.
Send the thickness, width, length, color, texture, required flame classification, end use, operating environment, drawing, order quantity and destination port. These details allow HSQY to confirm the grade and calculate an accurate quotation.
