Description
150mm tray sealing film is a clear lidding film supplied in a standard roll size of 150mm wide × 500m long for heat-sealing compatible food trays. This grade is primarily designed for HSQY CPET meal trays and can be customized for ready meals, airline catering, frozen foods, chilled prepared foods, bakery products, and other tray-packed applications.
The film uses a BOPET-based structure with a compatible sealing layer to create an airtight and liquid-resistant seal when the film, tray rim, sealing temperature, pressure, and dwell time are correctly matched. Because tray materials and heat-seal layers vary, compatibility should be confirmed through samples or a production-line trial before bulk ordering.
HSQY can provide clear film, printed film, easy-peel or weld-seal options, anti-fog treatment, custom thickness, custom roll dimensions, and packaging support according to the tray material and filling process.

A lidding film does not seal correctly based on roll width alone. The heat-seal layer must be compatible with the tray flange material. HSQY recommends confirming the exact tray resin, flange construction, sealing machine, and thermal process before selecting the film.
| Tray Material | Film Selection Guidance |
|---|---|
| CPET | Primary application for this 150mm product; choose easy-peel or weld-seal grade according to the meal and heating process. |
| APET / RPET / PET | Requires a PET-compatible sealing layer and line trial. Anti-fog is commonly requested for chilled display. |
| PET/PE | Use a film matched to the PE sealing surface of the tray flange. |
| PP | Requires a PP-compatible sealing layer, such as an appropriate CPP or specialized sealant grade. Standard BOPET/PE should not be assumed to seal directly to every PP tray. |
| Aluminium or Coated Paperboard | Custom structures may be supplied after confirming the rim coating, temperature process, barrier requirement, and seal strength. |

Easy-peel film is designed to open cleanly with controlled peel force, improving convenience for ready meals and retail food packs. Weld-seal film forms a stronger permanent seal and may be preferred when tamper evidence, transport security, or maximum seal integrity is more important than easy opening.
The correct choice depends on the tray material, product weight, oil or moisture content, filling temperature, distribution conditions, and the required opening experience.
Seal quality is influenced by sealing temperature, pressure, dwell time, tray-flange cleanliness, film tension, tray rigidity, machine condition, and the product packed inside the tray. A film that performs well on one tray or machine may require different settings on another line.
Before mass production, test the film for seal continuity, peel force, leakage, burst resistance, fogging, printing registration, reel tracking, freezer performance, and any microwave or oven process required by the final package.

Yes. This product is primarily designed for suitably sized HSQY CPET food trays. Send the tray sample or complete tray specification before ordering so the sealing layer and peel strength can be confirmed.
Not automatically. CPET, APET/RPET, PET/PE, and PP tray rims may require different sealing layers. HSQY selects the film structure according to the exact tray material and verifies compatibility through a sample or line trial.
Yes. Easy-peel, medium-peel, and stronger weld-seal options can be developed according to tray material, food type, target peel force, and heating process.
Ovenable and microwave-compatible grades are available for suitable CPET tray systems. The exact film, tray, food load, cooking temperature, and heating time must be validated together before commercial use.
Yes. Anti-fog treatment can be supplied for chilled meals, fresh food, meat, produce, and other applications where condensation may reduce product visibility.
Yes. Custom printing can include brand graphics, product information, preparation instructions, date-code areas, and traceability content. Provide the artwork, color requirements, print repeat, and annual quantity for evaluation.
Common causes include an incompatible sealing layer, contaminated tray rims, incorrect temperature, insufficient pressure or dwell time, uneven tooling, excessive film tension, damaged tray flanges, or unsuitable storage conditions. A controlled line trial normally identifies the correct settings.
The stated MOQ is 500kg. Typical production time is approximately 10–14 working days after the deposit, artwork approval, and final specification confirmation. Printed or special-barrier films may require additional time.
Yes. Provide your tray material, dimensions, machine model, required seal type, and thermal process. HSQY can review the application and arrange a suitable trial sample when available; freight terms are confirmed with the quotation.
Store the rolls in their original protective packaging in a clean, dry area away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture, dust, and strong odors. Allow cold-stored rolls to acclimatize before opening the packaging to reduce condensation.
