Product Description
HSQY green PVC Christmas tree film is a calendered PVC film developed for manufacturing artificial Christmas tree leaves, pine needles, wreaths, garlands, decorative foliage, artificial grass and fence strips.
Artificial-tree manufacturers can specify film thickness, slit width, green shade, surface finish, stiffness, recycled-content requirement and roll configuration according to their leaf-making, cutting and branch-binding equipment.
The current HSQY product range lists an overall thickness range of 0.07mm to 1.2mm. Thin gauges around 0.07–0.15mm are particularly relevant to artificial Christmas tree leaves and pine-needle production, while thicker grades can be evaluated for artificial grass, decorative strips, fence foliage and other heavier applications.
Available colors currently include green, dark green, brown and customized shades. Buyers can also discuss matte, plain and other surface requirements according to the desired finished-tree appearance.

Finished Artificial Christmas Tree
PVC Christmas tree film is a colored calendered PVC film used as raw material for artificial Christmas tree foliage and related seasonal decorations.
The film is normally supplied in master rolls or slit rolls. Artificial-tree manufacturers feed these rolls into leaf-making equipment where the film can be slit, drawn, cut, twisted or bound around wire to create flat PVC leaves, pine-needle strips and branch foliage.
PVC foliage is widely used for building density and fullness in artificial Christmas trees. Some premium tree constructions combine PVC inner foliage with molded PE outer tips, allowing manufacturers to balance appearance, production speed and material cost.
The following specifications combine the currently published product data with application-specific purchasing guidance. Final tolerance, recycled content, color, surface, mechanical properties and functional requirements should be confirmed in an approved specification.

Thickness directly affects leaf flexibility, branch fullness, cutting behavior, finished appearance, material consumption and production cost.
| Thickness Range | General Characteristic | Typical Selection Logic |
|---|---|---|
| 0.07mm | Thin and flexible | Common starting point for lightweight tree foliage and fine leaves |
| 0.08–0.10mm | Balanced flexibility and body | Frequently evaluated for artificial tree branch and needle production |
| 0.10–0.15mm | Higher stiffness and fuller appearance | Suitable for heavier leaves, wreaths, garlands and selected foliage styles |
| Above 0.15mm | Significantly thicker and stiffer | More relevant to decorative strips, artificial grass, fence leaves and specialty products |
These ranges are selection guidance rather than universal specifications. The best thickness depends on leaf design, strip width, cutting pattern, machine speed, wire size and desired tree appearance.
PVC resin, pigments and application-specific additives are mixed according to the required green shade, stiffness, recycled content and functional requirements.
The compounded material passes through a calendering process to form a continuous PVC film at the required nominal thickness.
Surface appearance can be controlled according to the selected product specification. Matte finishes generally reduce plastic shine, while other surfaces can produce different decorative effects.
The finished film is cooled and wound into master rolls for inspection, storage and subsequent slitting.
Master rolls can be slit to narrow widths according to the feed requirement of the customer's Christmas-tree leaf-making equipment.
The customer's equipment converts the PVC film into foliage by cutting or drawing leaf patterns and binding the resulting strips around wire to produce branch tips.
Artificial Christmas trees often combine multiple green shades to create visual depth. HSQY can evaluate light green, pine green, dark green, brown and other customized colors based on an approved physical sample or color reference.
Matte surfaces can reduce unwanted plastic shine and create a softer foliage appearance. The exact surface should be approved using a sample because gloss and texture can materially change the finished-tree appearance.
Narrow slit-roll width should match the customer's leaf-making machine, leaf profile and branch production process. Provide the current roll width and machine information when requesting a replacement material.
For industrial production, buyers should specify core diameter, maximum roll diameter, roll weight, winding direction, joint requirements and pallet configuration.
Stable thickness helps maintain consistent foliage stiffness, cutting behavior and material consumption during continuous tree-leaf production.
Christmas-tree film must be stiff enough to hold the desired foliage shape but flexible enough to be slit, cut and formed without excessive cracking. The target balance depends on thickness, formulation and machine process.
Large artificial-tree programs may consume many rolls in one production season. Controlling green-shade variation between batches is therefore an important quality parameter.
The current HSQY page references multiple commercial grades including recycled-content options. Exact virgin and recycled percentages should be specified rather than relying only on labels such as A, B, C or D.
Custom slitting allows material to be supplied closer to the machine-feed width, helping artificial-tree manufacturers reduce secondary conversion work.
Thin green PVC film can be slit and cut into artificial leaves and pine-needle-style foliage for Christmas tree branches.
PVC foliage can be used to build dense artificial wreaths and combined with pine cones, berries, ribbons, lights or molded PE tips.
Green PVC film can be processed into foliage used in Christmas garlands for retail, hotel, residential and event decoration.
Thicker or stiffer grades can be evaluated for decorative artificial grass, privacy fence foliage and other synthetic greenery applications.

Flame behavior is an important requirement for artificial Christmas trees, wreaths and indoor holiday decorations, particularly when products are sold to retailers, hotels or markets with specified fire-performance requirements.
PVC inherently has different combustion behavior from many hydrocarbon plastics, but this does not mean every PVC Christmas tree film automatically meets a specific flame-retardant standard.
If flame performance is required, provide the exact test standard, classification, thickness and destination market. HSQY should confirm a suitable formulation and applicable test report before any flame-retardant claim is published.
Standard green PVC Christmas tree film should not automatically be described as long-term UV-resistant or outdoor-weathering grade.
Artificial grass and fence applications exposed to sunlight may require additional UV stabilization and weathering performance. Buyers should provide expected outdoor exposure time, climate, temperature range and color-retention requirement.
Any UV or weather-resistance claim should be supported by an application-specific formulation and suitable test data.
The current HSQY page references multiple quality grades identified as A–D and recycled-material options. Buyers should not assume that each letter corresponds to one universal recycled-content percentage.
Higher recycled content can influence color consistency, odor, surface appearance, tensile behavior and batch-to-batch performance. For demanding artificial-tree programs, define the permitted recycled-content range and required finished-film performance in the purchase specification.
If restricted-substance or retailer requirements apply, they should also be confirmed for the exact formulation instead of assuming that the term “recycled” automatically means more environmentally compliant.

Specify whether you manufacture artificial Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, decorative foliage, artificial grass or fence products.
If replacing an existing supplier, provide the current film gauge and, ideally, an actual roll or finished leaf sample for comparison.
Provide the exact roll width required by the leaf-making machine together with the acceptable width tolerance.
A physical leaf, film sample or approved color reference is more reliable than descriptions such as “pine green” or “dark green.”
Specify matte, semi-matte, smooth, glossy or another desired finish according to the visual target of the finished tree.
State any maximum recycled-content percentage, odor requirement, appearance requirement or restricted-substance specification.
Flame retardancy, UV resistance, cold resistance and other functions should be specified by actual test requirement rather than by generic marketing terms.
Machine model, feeding width, production speed, cutting style and finished-leaf dimensions help evaluate whether the film is suitable for the customer's production process.
