Laminated PVC Foam Board for Wall Panels
Wood Grain Cabinet Board

Stone Grain Decorative Finish
Laminated PVC foam board is a lightweight cellular PVC panel with a decorative surface bonded to one or both faces. The surface layer provides the required color, pattern, gloss and texture, while the foam core supplies thickness, rigidity, moisture resistance and machinability.
PUR hot-melt adhesive is commonly used because it creates a durable bond between the decorative film and the foam-board substrate. Lamination quality depends on the board surface, film structure, adhesive coat weight, pressure, temperature, curing and storage conditions.
Product-selection note: A lightweight wall panel and a load-bearing cabinet panel should not use the same specification. Cabinet boxes, shelves and doors normally require higher density, suitable thickness, screw-holding performance and edge finishing, while decorative wall panels can prioritize lower weight and installation efficiency.

PVC decorative film: Cost-effective wood grain, marble, solid color and textured finishes for general furniture and wall panels.
PETG film: High-gloss or matte premium appearance with improved surface performance in selected grades.
Acrylic surface: Deep high-gloss appearance and strong visual depth for premium cabinet doors and furniture.
HPL surface: Higher wear, scratch and heat resistance for demanding interior furniture applications, subject to weight and bonding requirements.
Metallic film or sheet: Brushed, mirror or industrial metal appearance for retail, hospitality and commercial interiors.
Custom design: Customer patterns, matched colors and project-specific textures can be evaluated according to MOQ and artwork.
1. Moisture-resistant core: PVC foam board does not swell like unsealed particleboard when exposed to normal humid interior conditions.
2. Decorative finished surface: Factory lamination reduces the need for painting or additional on-site finishing.
3. Lightweight handling: Cellular construction lowers panel weight compared with many solid plastic or mineral boards.
4. Easy fabrication: The board can be cut, routed, drilled, grooved and shaped using suitable woodworking or CNC equipment.
5. Resistant to rot and insects: The PVC-based core is not a nutrient source for termites, mold or wood-decay organisms.
6. Low-maintenance surface: Compatible laminated surfaces can be cleaned using non-abrasive methods and approved cleaners.
7. Broad design range: Wood, stone, marble, metallic, matte and high-gloss finishes support residential and commercial interiors.
Cabinet buyers should evaluate the structural board rather than selecting only by surface color. Core density, skin hardness, screw holding and hardware design determine whether a board is suitable for cabinet boxes, doors, shelves and drawers.
Screw holding: Specify face and edge screw-withdrawal requirements and test the intended fastener.
Hinge fixing: Confirm hinge-cup drilling, screw position, pilot-hole size and repeated opening cycles.
Shelf deflection: Evaluate shelf span, distributed load, support position and long-term creep.
Edge finishing: Use compatible PVC, ABS or decorative edge banding and validate adhesion and corner impact.
Joint design: Pilot drilling, suitable screws, PVC adhesive, brackets or dowels may be used according to the load.
Heat exposure: Keep cabinet panels away from uninsulated ovens, cooktops and high-temperature appliances unless the design is validated.
Kitchen cabinets: Cabinet boxes, doors, drawer components, shelves and moisture-prone base units using a qualified density and hardware system.
Bathroom vanities: Moisture-resistant cabinet panels for washrooms, laundries and utility areas.
Wardrobes and furniture: Carcasses, doors, backs, decorative components, shelving and storage systems.
Wall panels and cladding: Decorative feature walls for homes, hotels, offices, shops and commercial interiors.
Partitions and dividers: Lightweight panels for zoning offices, retail areas, exhibitions and hospitality spaces.
Decorative ceilings and trim: Interior decorative elements where low weight and cleanable surfaces are beneficial.
Cabinet and Furniture Application
Interior Wall Panel Application
Cutting: Use a fine-tooth circular saw or panel saw with suitable feed speed to reduce chipping and edge melting.
CNC routing: Select tool geometry, spindle speed, feed rate and chip extraction for the board density and surface film.
Drilling: Use sharp drills and pilot holes near edges to reduce cracking or fastener pull-through.
Grooving: Confirm minimum remaining wall thickness and bend radius for V-groove folding or routed profiles.
Edge banding: Match edge material, adhesive, temperature, pressure and line speed to the foam core and decorative surface.
Protective film: Keep surface masking in place during machining when possible and remove it within the recommended period.
PVC foam cores are moisture resistant, but the finished panel system still depends on joints, screws, edges, adhesives, wall conditions and installation. “Waterproof” should not be interpreted as approval for permanent immersion or an unsealed exterior façade.
Moisture: Validate dimensional stability, edge finishing, adhesive bond and hardware in the intended humidity and cleaning environment.
Fire: Request a report for the exact core, density, thickness, surface film and adhesive. Do not rely on a general “flame-retardant” claim.
Smoke development: Interior building regulations may control both flame spread and smoke, so the required test standard must be identified.
Outdoor use: Standard laminated boards are mainly intended for interiors. Exterior projects require UV, heat, cold, adhesive and weathering validation.
