Product Description
HSQY 0.2mm frosted rigid PVC sheet is designed for thermoformed packaging, clear and translucent packaging components, folding boxes and other packaging applications requiring a matte or frosted surface instead of a conventional high-gloss finish.
The frosted surface provides a softer visual appearance, reduces direct glare and helps make fingerprints and minor surface marks less visible while retaining partial product visibility. Transparent, translucent and selected colored grades can be supplied according to the required packaging design.
This product features a 0.2mm target thickness, while related rigid PVC packaging specifications can be supplied from approximately 0.15mm to 1mm according to forming method, width, surface finish and end-use requirements. Customized sizes and widths are available for converters and packaging manufacturers.
For direct or indirect food-contact applications, the exact PVC formulation and supporting documentation must be confirmed according to the packaged food, contact conditions and destination-market requirements before commercial use.

Frosted PVC sheet is a rigid or semi-rigid PVC material with a matte or textured surface that diffuses reflected light and reduces the high-gloss appearance of conventional polished PVC.
Depending on surface texture and material formulation, the finish can range from lightly matte and translucent to a more visibly frosted appearance. This allows packaging designers to combine partial product visibility with a softer surface presentation.
For packaging applications, the material can be supplied in a selected thickness, width and surface finish and converted by thermoforming, vacuum forming, cutting, folding or other compatible processes.
Reduced Direct Glare: The frosted surface creates a softer appearance than conventional high-gloss transparent PVC.
Controlled Product Visibility: Transparent or translucent grades can maintain partial visibility while reducing the fully transparent look of polished PVC.
Lower Fingerprint Visibility: Matte textures can make fingerprints and minor surface marks less noticeable during handling.
Packaging Appearance: Frosted surfaces provide a differentiated visual and tactile presentation for retail packaging.
Thermoforming Capability: Suitable grades can be heated and formed into packaging cavities on compatible equipment.
Custom Surface Options: Matte/matte, matte/glossy or other textured combinations can be evaluated according to the required appearance.
Custom Dimensions: Thickness, sheet size, width and color can be matched to converting and packaging requirements.
Performance options such as anti-static, UV stabilization, flame performance, food-contact formulation or special printing treatment require application-specific grades and should be included in the approved product specification.
At approximately 0.2mm thickness, rigid PVC is suitable for selected lightweight packaging applications where a relatively thin forming web is required. Actual suitability depends on cavity geometry, draw ratio, package stiffness, forming temperature, machine settings and finished-package performance requirements.
For deeper cavities or packages requiring greater rigidity, a thicker material may be required. Buyers should provide the finished package dimensions and forming depth when requesting material recommendations.
Suitable food-contact grades can be evaluated for thermoformed produce packaging where the packaging design requires rigid construction and a matte or frosted appearance.
Frosted PVC can be used for selected bakery, confectionery, insert and display-packaging applications after confirming food-contact requirements and the temperature conditions of the packaged product.
Suitable rigid PVC grades can be formed into shallow trays, inserts and other packaging components. Thickness should be selected according to cavity depth, rigidity and handling requirements.
Matte or frosted PVC can also be used for folding boxes, transparent packaging windows and decorative packaging components where a translucent appearance is preferred.
Not every rigid or frosted PVC grade should automatically be treated as suitable for direct food contact. Food-contact suitability depends on the complete formulation, additives, packaged food, contact duration, contact temperature and the requirements of the destination market.
For food-packaging projects, provide the intended food type, whether contact is direct or indirect, expected storage temperature, contact duration and required regulatory documentation when requesting a quotation.
Available certificates, declarations or test reports should be verified against the exact 0.2mm frosted PVC formulation being supplied rather than applied generally to every PVC product.
To prepare a suitable material specification and quotation, provide the following information:
Required thickness, such as 0.2mm
Required sheet or roll width
Sheet length or roll dimensions
Matte/matte, matte/glossy or other required surface
Transparent, translucent, white or customized color
Thermoforming, vacuum forming, folding or printing process
Finished package dimensions
Forming depth
Packaged product
Direct or indirect food-contact conditions if applicable
Required compliance documentation
Order quantity
Destination country or port
For new thermoforming projects, testing the selected PVC on the intended machine and mold before commercial production is recommended. Forming uniformity, surface appearance, cavity definition, package rigidity and any sealing requirements should be verified during the trial.
The following existing PVC documents are available for reference. Please confirm that the document applies to the exact material grade being purchased.

Glossy PVC has a smooth reflective surface and provides clearer direct visibility. Frosted PVC uses a matte or textured surface to diffuse reflections and create a softer translucent appearance.
A suitable 0.2mm rigid PVC grade can be thermoformed for selected lightweight packaging. Final suitability depends on cavity depth, mold design, forming temperature, machine settings and required package rigidity.
Food-contact suitability depends on the exact formulation and the intended use. Please provide the food type, contact temperature, contact duration and destination-market requirement so that an appropriate grade and available documentation can be evaluated.
This product is focused on 0.2mm frosted PVC. Related packaging-grade rigid PVC specifications can be supplied from approximately 0.15mm to 1mm, subject to the required surface, width and processing method.
Matte/matte, matte/glossy and other surface combinations can be discussed according to the required thickness, production capability and order quantity.
Yes. Transparent, translucent, white and selected customized colors can be evaluated according to thickness, surface finish and order quantity.
The existing rigid PVC specification lists a reference maximum width of approximately 1280mm. Final available width should be confirmed for the selected 0.2mm frosted grade.
Suitable PVC grades can be used with compatible printing processes. Ink system, surface energy, matte texture and required adhesion should be evaluated before bulk production.
Sample material can be discussed according to available thickness, surface finish and color. For thermoforming projects, testing the sample on the intended forming equipment is recommended before bulk production.
The current listed MOQ is 1000kg. Customized colors, surface textures or special dimensions may require different minimum production quantities.
Please provide thickness, width or sheet size, surface combination, color, forming or printing process, finished package dimensions, food-contact requirements if applicable, quantity and destination.
